Enjoy this fast-paced, steamy, witchy series by paranormal romance author KJ Warawa.

Magic destroyed her family…
but embracing it is the only way they can be together.

Until Meredith Williams was brutally attacked and almost kidnapped, she had no idea that magic existed—or that she was born with it. But when her family friend and secret crush, FBI Agent Jack Knight, rescues her, she learns that her mother bound her powers for her own safety.

Jack knows it’s time to come clean about his role as a special agent in the undercover magic task force. He’s protected Meredith from afar since tragedy struck her family twenty years earlier, loving her but never being able to reveal his true feelings.

Now Meredith must accept who she is, because if she doesn’t, the spellbinding will sentence her mother to death. Yet accepting her magic when it’s caused so much heartbreak and lies isn’t just difficult for Meredith, it’s almost impossible.

But the evil that shattered their pasts is back and seeking revenge. And this time, unless Meredith can embrace her magic, it could spell destruction for all of them…

** The In Magic Series is best read in order although each book features a different couple and has its own Happily Ever After. **

This was a good one. It has mystery, love, magic, what else could you want?! A group of 4 adult cousins find out they have magic and have to learn how to use it all while learning things of their past they didn’t know about. You are introduced to a slew of characters that make up a family. The FMC is Meredith, one of the cousins and Jack is an FBI agent who has to deal with his past as well, the love between Meredith and Jack can only be described as the sweetest, purest kind of love that progresses throughout the book. This is the 1st book in a series and I know the next ones will be just s as good!

There is a lot going on and a lot of people to get to know. It is a series so this is starting point, the build up and what a build up it is. This book mainly focuses on Meredith Williams. It is just her in her mother. Her mother, Elise and her sisters, Lillian and Beatrice, lost a lot of family in a fire. The loss included all of their husbands. This was a hard blow for the sisters and they were forced to make some hard decisions to keep their surviving children safe.

That decision is coming back to haunt them. The sisters decided to take away their kid's magic and any memory associated with magic. That also means that no one could do magic around them. These kids were from a strong magic family and there were people who wanted to drain them of their magic. It was time to finally tell the kids, now adults, what was going on.

Meredith has always been very strategic and analyzed things from several different angles before coming to a solution. Does she even want her magic? It is all too much. It does not help that the one guy that she has had a crush on forever is finally willing to give it a go. Jack Knight has had to keep his distance but constantly be on guard. He was Meredith's protector. He could not blur the lines despite his feelings for her.

This book gets into a lot. We find out that taking away the kids magic hurt the sisters. Right now Elise is the only surviving sister. Someone is definitely after Meredith in particular. Jack is making it his business to keep her safe and convince her to accept her magic. Will Meredith wait too long? This book is so full. I can't imagine what the next book in this series will hold. We know we have 4 surviving children. I need to get to know each of them intimately. This book will keep readers interested. If you like magic, you will enjoy this book.

There was an extremely disappointing and needless character death in this book that shouldn’t have happened- so two stars off for not being a HEA - I will need to think about the next book in the series.

Book needed more character development but was overall interesting except for the needless character death for three people- at least two could’ve been avoided.

Meredith is a young woman not aware of the magic that she has not be able to use since the death of her family members twenty years ago but her mother informs the family that she is about to reveal a secret to her and her cousins that may or may not change their lives for the better. Jack is a family friend and FBI agent who has been guarding Meredith for several years without her knowledge. Things are about to change drastically when her mom tells them what her and her sisters did and why and that they need to do an unbinding of their magic and what that could entail. Original story line, the characters are very entertaining. Romance, magic, danger, death, and love. I purchased this book. I volunteered an honest review.

This book did take me a little while to get into, but it had a good, well detailed plot. It was told in the third person, so you get a nice overview of all the characters. This book focuses of Meredith and Jack. I didn't connect with Meredith as much, which may be why it took me a minute to get into. Meredith struggles with some internal demons throughout the book but has great growth. I am looking forward to book two and Jo's story!

This story sends the reader on a journey through the tragedy of families' past and an interpersonal struggle when truths are revealed. As the past decisions of loved ones are brought to the surface of reality, the FMC has a decision to make that will change her life forever. This introduction to a magical series was intriguing and entertaining. I am interested in seeing how the series develops through each book. Good start to a paranormal adventure.

Been a long time since a fantasy has got my attention I'm glad I picked this one up.
Between the fight with Meredith to the devotion that Jack has there isn't anything wrong with this book.
There were tears (if you read with your heart tissues will be needed)
I do have one question, (if Jack remains this supportive) Does Amazon have a copy of him on Amazon Prime and do you ship to Oz?
Jack is just a perfect balance of protectiveness too stubbornness I need him.
Meredith, while she completely has reason to be so is kind of annoying; hopefully, we see more growth in her through the series.
I love how the book ended with so many unanswered questions meaning that the second book is needed before you finish, dont do what i did
