Normally, I shy away from billionaire stories because many of them aren't clean and have lots of profanity. Plus, realistically how many billionaires are there in the world? However, the reviews stated this one was clean, so I gave it a try. First, Geoffrey was a really good solid character. Some could say he was a bit stoic, but aren't most men. He seemed very steady and it was nice not to have a playboy H. It took me a while to warm up to Emily, because some of the recent problems she experienced were of her own making. No one is perfect and it became clear that she'd endured a difficult life up to that point and just made a couple mistakes. It was really nice how the characters took it slow and got to know each other. One point, in the story, that threw me off was when it suddenly fast forwarded by 8 months and didn't show the interactions between Geoffrey's employers / family and Emily. I guess it was done this way to keep the book under a certain page limit, but it threw me for a loop. Overall, the story was enjoyable, clean, and the characters were likeable. There weren't any huge misunderstandings that took too long to resolve. If you are looking for a clean romance, this may be for you. I downloaded another book by this author just to sample some more of her writing. I don't personally know this author and was not paid for this review.

That being said, there are issues. 1) The leading lady makes some unforgivable, uncharacteristically stupid decisions, 2) it felt like about 40-50% of the story had gone by when suddenly there was a huge plot complication that wasn't at all fleshed out, and 3) the courtship went from first date to proposal to childbirth in the last couple dozen pages! Very odd pacing.

Emily really had to climb out of a hole just to laid the job she had only to lose it because of a client - who kept showing up wherever she went. This book is an emotional one that’s for sure. And we know there are women out there who are suffering abuse just like Emily did. The strength of character the author gave Emily was so well done. Never was her situation made light off or was she made to look like it was her fault.

We got to see her strength of character and how her experience didn’t define her. Emily was still a warm and caring woman who went out of her way for others, even willing to give up the man she loved to protect him.

Emily thankfully found a man worthy of her in the form Geoffrey. Who would do anything to show her how much she is loved and appreciated.

This was truly an amazing book to read.

This is a sweet, short, holiday romance!

I'd give the story a solid 4 stars. It was a cute, tender story about how love can heal the most bruised of hearts. Emily has come to get a fresh start after a harrowing experience with her now dead husband!

Geoffrey is a butler working for a wealthy family. What he doesn't tell anyone is that he's just as rich as they are. Hence the name of the book!!

But if give the story 3 stars because it's not complete. The story is so short with only 160 pages to whole book, so the story can't dive deep anyway. And there are huge time gaps from chapter to chapter.

I hate it when I find a good storyline that the author doesn't run with. Now while, this had the makings of a wonderful story, it had the potential to being so much more. Don't get me wrong, this is a cute, tender story. It just could've been so much more. Could've done deeper into the issues she had to deal with or maybe how she overcame certain things in this new relationship with Geoffrey!

Instead it's a simple story. A good one but....
