Niamh and Edie are separated and feeling isolated. The story has many turns as they try to figure things out. The characters are interesting and complex. I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

In the fourth installment of Nimah and Edie’s story about who or what is causing them to be isolated from their friends continues. K. C. did a fantastic job of rounding out what has been building up from the last three books. A lot of questions are answered and Javier is around for moral support. He is by far one of my favorite characters in the series.

Edie leaves home after finding out her mother was not honest with her. She is being isolated from her family and friends and being led down a bad path. She doesn’t realize this at first but her mother does. Can she find her way back to her mother and friends.

This series is one of my all time favorites and this installment does not disappoint! I felt validated with my assessment of a character from the prior novel (an “I knew it!” moment) but NOT all the revealed details of them! Great story telling as always. Still two of my favorite characters written. I love visiting this world so very much!

To follow the events within this book you do need to have read the previous Afterlife Calls books- but if like me you have then wow you're in for a treat!
