About this ebook

Ashamed of being duped by her handsome psychology professor, Josie Martin returns to Maine too proud to admit her foolishness to those closest to her. As the one-year anniversary of her father’s death approaches, she seeks solace in an old friend, Tripp Colton, and a new business venture that will prove to herself and her loved ones that she is still capable of success despite her overwhelming failure.

When Josie announces she will not return to school to finish her graduate degree but wishes to remain in Camden to help her mother achieve a lifelong dream, the entire family gets behind her idea to open and run a bed and breakfast inspired by Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House. Even Tripp gets excited about restoring Josie’s great-aunt's Victorian home for the purpose, but when Josie’s unexpected news is revealed, their friendship and the new feelings blooming between them are threatened.

As summer gives way to fall, Josie struggles with decisions regarding her family’s future, dealing with past mistakes she cannot run from, and her feelings for Tripp. When the opportunity for grace comes along, will she take it? Or will she continue to allow her failures to define her worth?

This is Book 1 in The Orchard House Bed and Breakfast Series. A contemporary twist on the well-loved classic, Little Women, readers will fall in love with the Martin family—Maggie, Josie, Lizzie, Bronson, Amie, and their mother Hannah—each trying to find their own way in the world and each discovering that love, home, and hope are closer than they appear.

SCANDALOUS, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE “In whatever capacity Josie wanted, he would be there. And if he never got to take her in his arms and show her how he cared for her, if it killed him until the end, he would keep on staying, keep on pursuing, keep on loving. As long as she didn’t choose another man that would change his role, he would be here. Because that’s what scandalous, unconditional love did. And that’s where the scales fell in Tripp’s favor.” Heidi Chiavaroli has drawn the most beautiful word picture of grace in her latest novel, WHERE GRACE APPEARS. The plot is centered around Josie Martin who is returning home to Maine after being the only child that has been able to fly the coop and pursue her dreams. She is finishing her Senior year at NYU and has always been “the golden child.” Now she must find a way to tell her family that her halo has not just slipped, it has completely fallen off! The one consistent in her life is Tripp Colton. They have always been best friends and they could have been more. Josie wanted to spread her wings and go to college at NYU. Tripp needed to stay with his Grandfather and help him with his younger brother (their parents were killed in an accident when the boys were very young). When Josie’s father died last year, Tripp professed his love and proposed. Timing is everything and his was off in a big way! Josie’s family is at a crossroads and she comes up with a Master Plan that will require a commitment from each of them. It will also require a life change from each of them. In the midst of this undertaking, Josie has to share her Dark Secret. Her family rallies around her but how will it affect Tripp? Tripp has to come to grips with his feelings and the extent of what he is willing to do. Chiavaroli has written a beautiful love story that exemplifies scandalous, unconventional love. It is a tale that draws you in and will keep you turning pages because you will want to know MORE of the story! When you finish reading, you will want to discuss this one with someone as it leaves you with many thoughts to ponder. I was provided a complimentary copy of this novel by Hope Creek Publishers. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence.
