"Solomon and Carey's imaginative storytelling sweeps you into a fascinating tale of mystery and adventure. Young twins Nadia and Aidan stumble upon an ancient power that could help their family in the future, or trap them in the past forever. HIghly recommended" ~ Linda Zimmermann, author of 30 books about the paranormal and mysterious stone sites.
◆ SCHOOL TEACHER REVIEW: 5 STARS ★★★★★ "Practically Perfect." Reviewed September 2020
“As a former middle school English teacher who taught reading for more than 30 years, this is practically a perfect book for its target audience. The main characters, a boy/girl twin pair, are well-developed and easy to relate to and root for. And their adventures are perfectly-paced, complex, and intriguing. I look forward to more of these time-travelling-twins adventures in the future. A book I highly recommend... and not just to young readers.”

About the authors
Diane began her career in the UK as a singer and songwriter on BBC TV. Then, traveling the world as an entertainer, the dreaded Chronic Fatigue Syndrome destroyed her career. She struggled for almost eight years, years of wading through half a life, finally regaining her health with the help of a homeopathic remedy. This launched Diane into new studies and a second career: homeopath and nutritionist, employing a combination of nutrients, herbs, homeopathic remedies, and diet and lifestyle recommendations.
Now focused on writing, Diane lives in beautiful Hillsborough County, New Hampshire with her husband, Mark. Sometimes called a "Renaissance Woman," she writes, edits, researches, designs and builds gardens, always seeking more knowledge, more understanding, and more creative flow.
Diane Solomon has seven books published by Eloquent Rascals Publishing in the genres of middle grade, non-fiction health books, and women's fiction:
Non-fiction: "Healing Therapies that Work: The Natural Treatment of Allergies," "Healing Therapies that Work: The Natural Treatment of Ear infections," and "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: A Guide to the Homeopathic Treatment of CFS/ME." This book reached #1 in Amazon's homeopathic section.
Middle grade: The “Ravenstone” series was written with her husband Mark Carey. The first is "The Ravenstone: The Secret of Ninham Mountain," and the sequel is entitled "The Twain."
Women's fiction/romantic suspense: "88 Guys for Coffee" is a humorous women's novel about online dating.
"Eva" is a love story with a supernatural twist, a contemporary romantic suspense novel.
I have always been a Dreamer and a Story Teller and a dabbler in the literary arts. I am a Realistic Idealist whose journey includes the never-ending search for balance between the the probable and the possible. Now retired and living in southern New Hampshire am free to pursue my writing full time. My first book is a joint endeavor with my talented wife, Diane Solomon. The Ravenstone: The Secret of Ninham Mountain sprang from tales of the Hudson Valley and the Catskill region of New York State, my childhood home.

The material is age appropriate, and the story is full of atmosphere. From a dusty attic full of secrets to caves and distant places, it was fun to travel around with the characters. I cared about what happened to them, and there were multiple storylines that I was rooting for to be resolved.
Although there is room for a sequel, things were tied up nicely at the end. This is a story with lots of depth that a middle grade reader would enjoy getting lost in. A good book!
I also grew up in that part of the country and some of my relatives on my dad's side of the family are from Gateway and I believe my great Granddad, Lewis Lafayette Hall may have named Unaweep Canyon.(Not a 100% sure). I recognize some of the names of the people Margery mentions in her book.because my Dad has mentioned their names during the years I was growing up, for whatever reason I don't recall.
There is another book I am looking for that she may have written about the history of Gateway called "At One Point In Time, Gateway, Colorado." My brother has a copy and told me that I could buy one on Amazon, but I haven't been able to find one there.
Thank you Margery for writing your book...
