Honey, Hairballs, and Murder: Silver Circle Cat Rescue Mysteries, Book 2 Audible Audiobook – Unabridged

A beekeeper with a sting. A cat with a secret. A cat rescue in the middle of it all....

In the small town of Tablerock, Texas, life is as sweet as honey. Fifty-year-old Ellie Rockwell’s Silver Circle Cat Rescue is settling into the shelter’s inherited mansion on the edge of town, and only a few people know about the magical platter that came with it—the one that allows cats to speak to humans.

But life takes a sour turn when local beekeeper and honey entrepreneur Ben Tyson is found dead, leaving his beloved cat, Honey, as the only witness to the crime.

As Ellie and Evie work to help Honey piece together what happened to her former owner, the investigation puts the rescued cats (and the cat rescuers) in a heap of sticky trouble. Not everyone in town was as sweet on Ben as they appeared, and they definitely didn’t want anyone buzzing about it.

Can Ellie, Evie, and their furry friends solve the crime before the killer strikes again?

Find out in Honey, Hairballs, and Murder, the second book in a purr-fectly paranormal midlife cozy mystery series.

This series has great feline characters! The human characters are quite interesting, also. So glad Ellie and Landon are a couple now and Mario knows what's going on. Loved this storyline! Really had me guessing as to who the killer was. I ended up guessing the wrong person. An extremely fun read! Great series!

I purchased and listened to this on Audible books.
In this book the Mother and Daughter relationship is much better. The Storyline is good with a lot of suspects to look into. I can Not believe how stupid the local police are written to appear. Belladona is such an uppity snob and quite amusing in some ways. Still no background on the tray or Belladona, so that is still an ongoing mystery. Narrator does a Great job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.

I love these murder mystery cat infused stories! They are a refreshing change in the mystery/thriller stories I usually read. I like the characters and the cats with attitude! The plots are well crafted and clearly executed. Good show!

I loved learning more about the magic platter and how it is coming in handy to solve the murders that Ellie and crew seem to stumble upon.
Honey making info was a bonus!

Ellie has the cat rescue and cafe running and is happy with how things have turned out but before too long another murder causes chaos in their small town. Since the victim is a business acquaintance, the staff are fully on board with investigating. The deceased was the owner of a cat who is remanded to the shelter, so what better place to start than to interview the cat.

I enjoyed this whimsical book of cats and dogs with attitude. This amateur sleuths of mother and daughter who own a cat sanctuary are owners of a magical silver tray that allows the animals to talk to them. The animals secrets aid in solving the murder. Meghan Kelly narrates this book well.

Another Great Cozy Cat Mystery! Audiobook Review 🎧
This is the 2nd book in the Silver Circle Cat Rescue Mysteries series and can be listened to as a standalone, but is better if you listen to the first book before this one. This book continues the story of Ellie, her daughter Evie, and their awesome friends at the cat rescue and cat café. Their Beekeeper friend is found murdered and they are off to try and solve another murder.  This group of friends and the cats are a great group and so much fun.  There is a lot of mystery, laughs, and even some romance blooming in this story.  I really loved this book and can’t wait until the next one.  Meghan Kelly is a fantastic narrator and her voices are different for all the characters and really brings the story to life and makes it fun to listen to.

Fun read. Honey producer death requires more work for the platter and lots of thought by this Texas Scooby gang (a Great Dane is involved!).

I think I finally figured out what ‘cozy’ means. Using regular normal people living in a small, gossipy town that has lots of secrets. And these plain normal people also have a pretty big secret. Good fun read.
