“This twisty, original thriller through the dark side of self-help is a breath of fresh air that ends with a jaw-dropping gasp.” —Heather Gudenkauf, New York Times bestselling author of The Overnight Guest

The Revenge List checks all the boxes of what a thriller should be. Brilliant premise? Check. Mounting tension? Check. Jaw-dropping twist? Double-check. I couldn't put it down!”
— Riley Sager,
New York Times bestselling author of The House Across the Lake

They say life flashes before your eyes when you’re about to die. But all she could see was regret.

The people in Frankie Morgan’s life say she’s angry. Emotionally stunted. Combative. But really, who can blame her? It’s hard being nice when your clients are insufferable, your next-door neighbor is a miserable woman and the cowardly driver who killed your mother is still out living it up somewhere.

Somehow, though, she finds herself at her very first anger-management group session—drinking terrible coffee and learning all about how “forgiveness is a process.”

One that starts with a list.

Frankie is skeptical. A list of everyone who’s wronged her in some way over the years? More paper, please. Still, she makes the pointless list—with her own name in a prominent spot—and promptly forgets about it…until it goes missing. And one by one, the people she’s named start getting hurt in freak accidents, each deadlier than the last.

Could it be coincidence giving her the revenge she never dared to seek…or something more sinister?

If Frankie doesn’t find out who’s behind it all, she might be next.

Who Is on Frankie’s List?

Who Is on Frankie’s List?
Frankie Morgan is angry. Mostly at her father, currently, who basically forced her into an anger management class. When the facilitator starts the session having each participant write a list of names of the people they are angry at( The Revenge List), Frankie is more than happy to write down every name of the people who have pushed her past the point of no return. When she seems to have lost that list and the people on it start suffering from accidents, she cannot believe that her list could possibly be responsible. Could it just be coincidental or is someone out to frame her, or maybe Frankie has a vengeful angel watching over her. Whoever it is, Frankie must get to the bottom of it before more people are hurt.Holy Frankie needs more than an anger management class, she needs tranquilizers! I could not believe how long she could hold a grudge(even when she did have a good reason to be angry). She is being torn apart from the inside out, and I really doubted if she could control her rage long enough to figure out what the heck was going on.Did I guess who was guilty? Yes. However, I did not see the ending coming. When Frankie figured out the who and the why,I wasn’t at all sure what she would do. Not a spoiler but she surprised me.I read the entire book on a rainy Saturday afternoon, and since this publishes at the end of May, I could see it being a great beachI received a DRC from Harlequin Trade Publishing/ Mira Books through NetGalley.

Frankie Morgan is taking an anger management class. One of their assignments is to write down a list of people to forgive. She has a notebook with this list, which she accidentally leaves in an UBER.

On the list is a person who ends up dead. Is this coincidentally or something more sinister? Follow along to unfold Frankie’s journey as her vulnerability comes through. Her journey won’t be easy and she is an angry and flawed character.

There will be flashbacks, family drama and scenes that might be difficult to read.

The Revenge List is certainly a wild ride and totally entertaining. Believable? Not so much. Over the top. Definitely. Super fun. Heck yes!

Frankie is such an angry character. And while that's kind of the point of the book and she arguably has good reason to be, it made for a tedious and often aggravating read. I listened to this novel on audio which probably didn't help that fact. The narrator was good but it was very much acted in full and the tension and rage totally gave me anxiety!

I didn't exactly guess things correctly with this novel - which is always fun - but I also wasn't totally off base. There are quite a few storylines that merge together which was a pro and a con. It helped keep me guessing and a little off track, but it was also just a lot. I was glad with how things all came together though there was one aspect of the end that I really could've done without.

Overall, this was highly entertaining and would totally make a great movie. If you want something fast-paced, thrilling, and that will really rile you up, I definitely recommend.

Thank you to Mira Books and NetGalley for the copy.

THE REVENGE LIST starts with a fiendishly-smart premise—a project at an anger management group turns freakishly dangerous. Who is hurting the people Frankie feels wronged her? And can she find out before people start to die? Hannah Mary McKinnon’s brilliant storytelling and clever writing takes the reader on a whirlwind ride–I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough!

What a ride! Finished this in less than 24 hours… phew!

Very original story, it all starts at a self-help meeting and goes terribly wrong from there. Frankie’s grief and anger are used against her as this incredible story twists and turns to its crazy ending.

I thought I had it figured out at least 3 times… hahaha! That’s how good McKinnon is!

So much promise with this book. First let me say I loved the story, the plot, It was original and it did keep you guessing for a bit. About halfway through I was able to figure out what was going on but my biggest issue with the book is the characters suck. Every last character was a terrible person and the main character Frankie was annoying and violent for no reason. It’s hard to read a book when the characters are so unlikeable and there’s no character development.
