The title did its job with this book, as it was quick and dirty! I fell for Parker and Tate fast and hard, and I enjoyed how Parker used her pain to fuel her desire to be more true to herself. The more I learned about Tate the more I loved him. And the 🌶 was HOT!!! Was there a ton of it throughout the story? Absolutely! Was I mad about it? Not in the slightest!! I mean, Parker was only slated to be there for 10 days, so naturally there would be tons of 🌶🌶, at least in my mind. I felt that Whitley Cox did a good job of providing just enough backstory to make me care about the FMC/MMC, and because I cared it made the 🌶 even better! There was a HEA too, so while this is part of a series, don't assume you have to read the next book to finish out the story. Overall I was happy with this quick, spicy read, and will definitely pick up more by this author to read in the future!

A Canadian West Coast baby born and raised, Whitley is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two beautiful daughters and a fluffy dog. She spends her days making food that gets thrown on the floor, vacuuming Cheerios out from under the couch and making sure that the dog food doesn’t end up in the air conditioner. But when nap time comes, and it’s not quite wine o’clock, Whitley sits down, avoids the pile of laundry on the couch, and writes.
