This is a clean romance between 2 doctors. It does have the goal of demonstrating to the reader the power of having a prayer relationship (church/religion never mentioned) with God. It is a heartwarming read. It has several instances of miscommunication and assumptions that impact the relationships of those involved. This was a quick read. The chapters were short and numerous. There was some kissing but no sexual content and no fowl language. I only noticed one or two errors. The main characters were likable but somewhat lacking in depth. I found it totally implausible that that they didn’t initially recognize each other. Seriously, he didn’t make the connection to his high school sweetheart because of a wig and colored contacts? Jasmine Banks is not a common name like Susan Smith. And despite the Landi last name she didn’t connect Dr. David Anthony Landi to her young love Tony Landi? Potential triggers are breast cancer and numerous references to God and prayers. There were spots where I wasn’t sure who was speaking and had to back up a page or two to figure it out. I rated it a solid 3 because it’s a clean, quick book for a day at the beach. It’s a standalone book with an HEA and no cliffhanger.
