Kat’s life is a disaster. Her mother is dead and her stepfather has kicked her out of the one home she’s always counted on, leaving her nothing but the Celtic knot locket Siobhan gave her on her eighteenth birthday. Unable to focus enough to hold down a job she ends up at the women’s shelter where she sees the truth of what life can dish out. And on top of all that she is positive that her mother did not die from natural causes. But without a dime to her name she has no way to prove it. In the shelter she meets Cerridwen, an older woman who seems kind enough. But when this same woman appears in Kat’s dream as the goddess of the underworld and keeper of the magical cauldron of inspiration, Kat is more than a little disturbed. Just a dream she tells herself the next morning, dismissing her uneasiness. In the meantime a strange man seems to be stalking her, his torn jeans and filthy Grateful Dead T-shirt indicating that he’s a drug addict who she wants nothing to do with. And why are there enormous dark birds everywhere she looks? She’s never seen a raven in the city. As life shifts around her Kat discovers a world she didn’t know existed, her grasp on reality disappearing as she struggles to understand what is happening.

Welcome readers!!! Please browse!

Nikki Broadwell is the author of three series that take place in or around Scotland and featuring the Celtic and Norse pantheon of gods and goddesses as well as fantastical and mystical settings and beings. Look for: Wolfmoon series, 3 book series beginning with The Hanged Man, and 4 books of Raven and Hummingbird series.

Her themes are the natural world, feminine power, romantic entanglements, and the fight between good and evil.

If you enjoy futuristic, apocalyptic, goddess driven fantasy, time travel and/or paranormal mystery you have come to the right place.

After giving up a successful silk-painting business, Nikki has been writing full time since the early 2000's. And although the cash flowing in from the books is decidedly less, her interest continues.

Nikki and her husband of over thirty years, a standard poodle and a cat, now live in Newberg, Oregon. When not writing Nikki hikes in any forest she can find, does yoga and explores the many wonderful sites in Oregon.

And here we go again with Another SUPER Niki book. It twist and turn with the God's and Goddesses getting involved with humans. Here you have Another fantastic story that will take you away from where you think it's going to somewhere else entirely. You don't want to miss this. I'm off to DagGa's daughter before I give to much away. I Definitely have NOT been Disappointed in ANY of Niki's stories and would be surprised if you do! 😃😃😃. Please enjoy.

It took me a bit to get into the story because there were different worlds and characters to follow but once I got more background on Katel and why she was important to the Otherworld it hooked me. And Bran getting more developed as a character in the story with Kat was a good read. I want to read more and understand how Dagda and his motives fit into the whole story now.

The characters are interesting at least and compelling at best. The plot is my major concern. By the end of book one, the overarching plot of the series has not yet emerged, and the smaller subplots and events are wearing thin. I did not enjoy it enough to pay full price for the second book.

proper ending.. It is a cliffhanger, a come-on for the next book in the series.. I feel cheated.. I would not have started reading it had I known, neither will I buy the next book in the series.. I enjoy books in series only when each book can stand alone..

Katel (Kat to most), a grieving daughter, is feeling lost in the world after her mother died under suspicious circumstances. As the story progresses, she goes on to meet a series of diverse and enigmatic people who will have an impact on her life, some more profoundly than others. Nikki Broadwell has taken the Celtic and Norse pantheon and weaved an intricate tale of loss, love, betrayal and hope set in modern times with the Gods and Goddesses visiting on Earth. Siobhan’s Secret is a lively introduction to this world and I am not making it a secret that I really liked this book and am looking forward to seeing where she takes these characters and the series.

I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

I freely do this review. Celtic mythology, is the theme of this book. A child hale of this world and half to the third world. Unknown to her until she lost her mother. An fantasy book, of a creative mine.
