Each book is about a different sibling and the person they fall in love with. So while each couple will get their HFN in their book, there are main plots and themes that run throughout the main books in the series. Therefore, all main books in the series should be read in order.

This is my first read by Emma and I will definitely be reading more of her works.Bree is not your typical mafia princess - she is just as deadly as she is beautiful with a heart of gold and I am totally crushing on her. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind, she can hold her own and doesn’t back down when things get tough.Liam is an assassin for hire and with a heart. I adore how he is extremely protective over those he deems as family and doesn’t try to control Bree.I loved watching these two grow with one another. They were so easy and fit together perfectly. Their banter, support and love for one another is the most beautiful.The plot is insane and I couldn’t put it down. I really enjoyed the way Emma built the world and characters within it so flawlessly - it flowed effortlessly and the character growth is phenomenal. I loved how she took captive romance, gave it her own twist and how she made Bree so much more than your typical mafia princess. My favorite thing is how she piled on the suspense with a splash of mystery and action, the perfect amount of steam. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait for Kellan’s story.

Black Wedding is a deliciously dark and suspenseful mafia romance. Liam and Bree’s romance is wild and unpredictable. Their flaws draw you in with its beautiful brutality. This is the first book in the Beautifully Brutal series by Emma Luna and it’s an amazing start to the series. It starts like a typical mafia book with a kidnapping with an interesting twist, this dark mafia romance kept me on the edge of my seat and holy hotness was it hot! Told from a dual POV, the author takes the reader on an adventure full of clever maneuverings, action and intrigue.

One of the things I love about Emma’s writing is that she doesn’t shy away from creating a heroine that colors outside the lines. Bree is feisty, ruthless, dark and at times a little twisted in her own way. Liam never once hurt or forced her into anything because nobody forces Brianna O’Keenan to do anything. She is strong willed and knows what she wants. She wants to take over the family business, but needs to get married to do that. She is determined to be the first female crime boss and first female to rule over London. Things don’t work out as she planned because one night she is kidnapped and then her life changes forever. A lot of times in these types novels, it is the anti-hero possessing these personality traits, so Bree’s character was definitely refreshing. Not to say that Liam doesn’t have his own darkness, as he is an assassin. Individually they are both strong characters, but together they are a force to be reckoned with. These two are like dynamite waiting to explode. The chemistry between them is so amazing, it can be felt just by being in the same room. The character development in this book is well done and the plot is well executed. The secondary characters in the book are interesting in their own ways and the author paves the way for some of them to get their own books.

What starts out as convenience, turns into so much more. Liam and Bree fit together perfectly. Liam is content to let Bree lead while still being possessive and protective. I love the give and take to their relationship.

Emma writes this book so beautifully and so well that you feel you are in the story as a bystander watching it all happen. This story is full of action, suspense, lies, betrayal and deceit, with definite twists & turns. It’s darkly romantic with enough spice to give it that kick. For those looking for a dark mafia romance with a twist, then I suggest you do not miss out on this book!!!

This is the first book from this author I have read. Emma did an amazing job writing a great book to start this series. Black Wedding was brilliant. I absolutely loved Bree and Liam’s story! Loved seeing the heroine being such a bad@sss and not scared to do what needs to be done. Their story is dark, thrilling, and full of suspense. These two don’t exactly get off on the right foot, but their relationship quickly transforms into something more.

Liam, an assassin, kidnaps Bree so he can get paid for a job he did for Bree’s father. Bree is not one to be messed with. She is a very strong, feisty heroine. She may be a mafia princess, but she’s been training to take over her family’s business. Liam is one of the best assassin's in the business. He’s dominating, fierce, and protective of the ones he loves. Liam is more than willing to marry Bree so she can rule. Their start was anything but traditional, but these two would go to the ends of the Earth to fight for each other.

This dark mafia romance had me intrigued from the beginning to end. The kidnapping, interesting and unexpected twists and turns, the refreshing and unconventional characters made this a very enjoyable book. I’m looking forward to more books in this series.

Heed the trigger warning, this is dark mafia story with lots of heat between the characters. Looking forward the rest of the family's stories.

This book had everything; love, suspense, heat & a kick ass woman who took no prisoners. I adored Bree, she is beyond strong, takes nor prisoners and even though she has a brutal side needed to rule in a world dominated by men, has such a caring heart. Liam was absolutely perfect for her and it was nice to see a strong man who could step back and let the woman rule and be her support.

I loved this book! The first 9% was boring, too much details that I don’t think were needed and the word ‘piss’ was being used one too many times but then at 10% everything changed. I was hocked from that point forward.

Bree is a force to be reckoned with. I loved her spirit and the fact that she knew what she wanted and went after it despite the men in her life always telling her no. She has a perfect balance between being ruthless and merciful. She has such a big heart but when someone crosses her, that people better run to the other side of the world. She takes no prisoners and I loved it.

Liam is an assassin so I was sold on him from the beginning but as I was learning more about him, I realized he isn’t your typical assassin. He may be an assassin but he has a lot of consideration and compassion for others and he’s not afraid of emotions which I loved. He’s very laid back and goes with the flow.

I loved how Liam and Bree met. Liam is not a typical captor either and Bree capitalized on it and she figured that Liam is her best chance to help get want she wanted which is be the Leader of the O’Keenan clan.
I loved how they relationship went from captor/ captive to friends and finally to lovers. I loved their chemistry and how they acted regarding everything.

Also I knew from the beginning Vernon and Jimmy were not what they seemed. I was not surprised at all at the turn of events however I was very surprised with Desmond attitude, it actually made me tear up a bit.
In fact when the whole thing that went down at the end I was basically sobbing 😭, I actually felt for Liam and Bree. From The way Liam reacted to the way Bree was so strong… loved it!

Kellan daughter was ADORABLE! I know she’s a baby but she’s so cute. The cutest moments were when Liam was in the vicinity and she looked at him like he hanged the moon and he was so smitten with her. To be fair everyone was,including me. I’m very intrigued to read Kellan and Mia’s story.
I’m also very much looking forward to read Evan and Finn’s story.

This author is new to me, and I must say I'm very impressed. Being a brit, it was nice to see a Mafia romance set in the UK. It would have been nice to see a bit more description for the area they were in, but I realise she's a fairly new author and appreciate she's getting to grips with it.

The story itself is based around Liam, a hitman who is an exiled son of an Irish Mob boss. He's owed a debt from a job he did, and as her father won't pay, he decides to kidnap the daughter, Bree. But Bree is not your run of the mill pampered Mafia princess, she's been training to take over the business since she was a child.

I don't want to give too much away, but we go on very interesting ride with this one. She is a strong kick arse heroine, and I loved her. She really loves to take the bull by the horns and has no problems with proving the men in the business wrong about where women have a place in the business.

The character and romance development was great, and some great steamy moments too. Totally recommend if you love a good Mafia romance, and I'm looking forward to see how this series progresses.

This story is about Bree and Liam, as they navigate the mafia world in the UK and Ireland. Being from opposing families, fate brings them together when Liam kidnaps Bree - the rest as they say - is history! They very quickly fall in love, and as things go wrong, they stand together and with their friends to overcome their enemies - who are much closer to them than you would expect! I loved the way their relationship built throughout the book and that they eventually got their HEA. I also loved the side characters, their friends and family, that we got to see snippets of and I can't wait to read their stories! A great read!

Liam!!! God I just love him! He’s amazing at empowering women and doing what is right to protect their rights! I will go as far as calling him a feminist! The way he always says the perfect thing to just empower and stand by Bree!! And Bree! Such a strong FMC! Confident, such a bad ass and such a big heart! I hope I’ll see more of these two on futures books in the series!
