Brandon Ellis and Max Wolfe make a dynamite combination. Horizon Protocol is packed with heart thumping special ops action and mysterious flying hardware that doesn't behave like anything seen before.

Jackson Stone and Alabama Wren work for the ultra-secret Polaris corporation. Jackson isn't quite sure whether he's working for the good guys or the bad guys, all he knows is that he's been given another chance to work.

Dr. Alabama Wren is close lipped, competent and highly sarcastic. She's carrying secrets she's not ready to tell. Although she's been assigned to partner with Jackson, she has serious reservations about him.

Horizon Protocol scoops you up, deposits you in a world where nothing is as it seems. Racing ahead at light speed, each curve in the story will leave you biting your nails, wondering how this could possibly resolve.

And this is just the first book in the series! I can't wait to see what happens next.

This is a very action packed read that is somewhat gory, a little sinister, definitely mysterious, and totally hard to put down. And what is most significantly intriguing is Jackson Stone himself! I'm all set to dive into Book 2, so good. Talk about duality!

I have no idea why this book has a 5 star rating, seriously it doesn’t deserve it. I managed to struggle through 66% of the book and then I finally gave up. The book was confusing, extremely unrealistic and boring. Just my opinion, you might like it.

This is a well written yarn, it is not science fiction nor is it not science fiction. There is a what if and the premise that memories are not only stored in the brain so a person could be allowed to wake up in a totally different body. The story made me think and after finishing it I'm still contemplating the effects of the story. I found that I took on the roll of the hero and was affected by the heroine, I was convinced that she was going to die and was relieved when both parties saw a new day again. In short if you ike mysteries or sci-fi you should enjoy this story.

I was actually looking for another space opera, military venture, and while this doesn't fit that bill, I'm really glad I picked it up! This pans out as a black ops Sci-fi mystery, and has a lot of excitement and suspense.

In addition, there are hints of romance and sexual tension that appeal to the feminine reader, with promises of more to come. I'm downloading the next book right now!

Brandon Ellis's first foray into the thriller genre was action packed, with many twists and turns. Fans of XFiles and Fringe will enjoy this. Looking forward to the next one!

I like most of Brandon Ellis’s books. His writing and storytelling has improved with every new book.
The story started slowly. However the more I read the more I got sucked in.
Don’t expect a lot of character development as, after all, I read most sci-fi for the good story. I liked this story as the authors mixed genres in an interesting way.
I was surprised about how fast I read the book and am looking forward to the next installment.

Slow, about 2 agents on a mission. Confusing at times. Aliens that can heal or kill. Transfer of souls. The last few chapters are the most interesting, once you get past all the concepts that are rolled into this story.

Sentences out of context, with no end, with the wrong pronoun… doesn’t anyone proofread anymore? Story so full of tropes and half baked conspiracy theories it makes you physically ill to read! Simply a terrible read.
