Wolf Boss: A Forbidden Shifter Rom-Com (She-Shifters of Hell's Corner Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 1,938 ratings

Experience the feminine bonds of sisterhood, healing, and mystique in the quaint (and slightly wacky) town of Helen's Corner, aka Hell's Crazy Corner.

Carter Ray has vowed off men.
It's the sole reason she moved to Helen's Corner with her young daughter, Jellybean.
Rumor has it the female-populated town is an oasis for women like herself—women who have been dealt the short end of the stick.
Who cares if outsiders nicknamed the place Hell's Crazy Corner?

At any rate, Carter wants nothing to do with the visiting wolf shifter. Nothing.
She can ignore his billionaire status.
She can ignore his pulse-pounding good looks.
She can even ignore his panty-melting charm.
But his wickedly delicious scent is driving her bear into a mating frenzy!
And that might be a problem.

This is a feel-good shifter rom-com novella that transports you to a place where laughter is the status quo and a smile on your face is guaranteed.

Very short but sweet story. Not a lot of fluff just a good read. First of her books for me. Looking forward to reading more.

I really like Carter. She is spunky and comical. Alec is smart and strong and protective. He is apathetic about his love life until he finds Carter. Jellybean is a sweetheart. I love Carter's brother. It is fun to see all the residents of Helen's Corner. This is a quick and fun book. I did want more and I look forward to the other books in this series.

I enjoyed this story and characters. A bit more background on the leads might have made it a bit more poignant, but it served it's purpose. I thoroughly love the town and look forward to more stories about the people there. The humor was much appreciated! I would recommend the read!

I thoroughly enjoyed Alec and Carter's story. Although it can be a stand alone, I felt having read the book "Matt" in the Bears of Burden series before I read this one gave me a better understanding of Carter. I loved the entire Bears of Burden series so if you haven't read them, I highly recommend you do so. This particular book was funny in several spots and most of the characters were very likable. As in the Bears of Burden series, meeting one's mate doesn't go smoothly and in this book, poor Alec is sitting next to his fiance when he first sets eyes on his mate. The book is a fast read and will hold your attention from the beginning to the end.

I am voluntarily reviewing an Arc of this book but I did purchase it to go along with all the Bears of Burden books since I have read some of them more than once. Why you might ask - because the books are good stories with some humor in each one and I like the characters.

I liked Alec and Carter as the main characters a lot in this book. I enjoyed Jillian, Carter's daughter, and Cannon and Matt the helpful uncles a heck of a lot. The story starts out strong but seems to be missing the follow through on a spoiled, bratty princess scorned, when Alec finds his true mate and realizes the mistake he made by going along with an engagement to Chelsie. The resolution to that issue just disappears. Not likely. So although the characters are loveable the story needs more detail. Follow through on what Alec had to do to resolve his problems with Chelsie, her dad and the merger would have sealed the deal for this storyline. Carter's baking mishaps are adorable though.

I loved reading Wolf Boss(Shifters Of Hell’s Corner Book 1). All about Carter Ray a bear shifter who is an amazing baker & Alec Patterson a Wolf shifter and owner of Patterson Furniture. Alec is in town with his fiancé for engagement weekend, when his Wolf start drooling over the vanilla cupcake smell with buttercream frosting at the B & B they just checked into! Carter shows up to cook her baked treats, when her beat stands up and starts drooling! She thinks she’s coming down with something, until she lays eyes on Alec in the dinging room! Alec’s Wolf is ready to burst out to claim his mate, until he see’s his fiancé having a cow across the table!! It’s quite the dilemma having a fiancé when your mate shows up for the first time! The author wrote a story about a women who has sworn off men, because her ex was a mean abusive man who terrorized her & her daughter until he was dead! Carter has just moved to Hell’s Corner, when her mate shows up! Read about Carter & Alec and the many obstacles they both have to overcome before they can become mates for life!! This is the first book in this series, and I could not put it down! It’s funny, passionate and down right emotional!! I can not wait to read book 2!! This is the next series that follows Bears of Burden! Which is also a great series!!

This book was really cute…and spicy! It was a quick, fast-paced read, but worth it. With this being a mates situation, it was an insta-love story.
I had been craving some shifter romance and found this while checking my emails. I have no regrets with this book. Obviously, some things could have been tweaked a bit different but it was just right for a short read.

Carter already had a very toxic relationship with her daughter Jellybean's father.... she got out of that badly scarred physically and mentally, so she has sworn off men forever. Until she catches a strange whiff that is, her inner bear is going crazy wanting to roll in it.

Alec is a wolf shifter that has been tricked into a relationship with a woman who can make or break his merger by just calling daddy, now he's on an engagement trip, something he's never heard of mind you. They are at a small town to take pictures according to his fiancé, but that all goes down the drain when he smells that wonderful cupcake. Alec never imagined he'd get a mate, especially not a she bear, but who cares the more, the merrier.

Lots of fun!

A beautiful, entertaining love story with nipping furry butts, swinging pans and "out of the mouths of babes" included. Single bear shifter mom Carter finds her wolf shifter mate Alec here. Too bad he's already engaged...

4.0 out of 5 stars Complicated!

Carter describes her life as complicated, so much going on and having been through so much already. She is a baker who is well known for her creations but suddenly everything starts going awry and she doesn’t understand why. That is until she meets her mate, the one she is fated too, only he is engaged to someone else. The ups and downs of what happens when things are complicated. Love the characters, especially Jellybean and the uncles.
