About this ebook

One young woman. Two vicious crimes. Thirty sleepless nights.

Amanda Whelk has insomnia. Get up. Go to work. Eat. Sleep… or try to. After a slumberless month, she finally relents and sees her doctor.

Peaceful dreams welcome her at night. But nightmares await in the morning when her grogginess gives way to panic. What dreadful things did Amanda do when she was supposed to be sleeping?

Will she bury her secrets for a good night’s rest, or confess to terrible things she doesn’t recall?

At The Seams is a psychological horror short story about an exhausted woman on the brink of a nervous breakdown.

Interesting concept, not well executed. The disorientation of prolonged loss of sleep and/or sleep medication as represented in the writing style should have resolved itself at the end. Perhaps it is Katz's writing style that is disorganized rather than the characters thought processes.

Very good short story!!! I am looking forward to reading the next short story and then onto a full length novel.

About the author

Gayle is a fan of zombies, sci-fi fantasy, and psychological horror—though not necessarily in that order.

She writes the kinds of books she wants to read but often can’t find. Hoping to scare you, make you swoon, and root for her characters, her love of kick-butt heroines and sassy snark shines through in her work.

Born and raised outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Gayle discovered her passion for horror when her husband introduced her to zombie video games in 2009. She writes about terrifying things because it scares the bejesus out of her and she likes it!
