About this ebook

He's the ruthless lawyer with a not-so-little black book, and one simple rule as unyielding as his heart: Nothing more than a month.

She's the doctoral student helping to raise his niece. His brother's best friend. And the valium for his soul he had no business wanting.

To be fair, she did ask him for advice--on what she could do to stop being 'the nice girl' for a little bit. All he did was answer truthfully: "Try something new that excites you."

...Preferably him.

The first book of the Sullivan Brothers "Nice Girl Trilogy" that began the New York Times, USA Today, and international bestselling CAN'T RESIST series.

"A fast-paced, heartfelt, and fun read!" -- #1 NYT Bestselling Author Lauren Blakely

"This book gave me one of the worst (or best) book hangovers I've had in a LONG time. I absolutely LOVED it." -- Mama's Reading Break

NOTE TO READERS: This is Book #1 in a three-part 600-pg SERIAL (also available as a bundled box set). Each book in the trilogy has a separate story arc in the greater love triangle, and need to be read in order. It's silly to think somebody would have a one-month rule lol. But I guess it would somehow propel the character's attraction towards each other forward. What I really don't like is the idea of the girl fancing between the two brothers since apparently, the focus in the next book is her relationshop with her best friend. Still a nice quick read though.

Resisting the Bad Boy is the first in a serial by Violet Duke and it is not a standalone. You will need/want to read the future books in the series to get the entire story. Abby Bartlett has always been known as the "nice girl." Abby has a very full life and on top of all of the things going on in her life, she is also helping one of her best friends Brian, raise his young daughter. While Abby and Brian have been friends for years, she's never really gotten to know his brother Connor, but he is now in the picture after they run into him at a party and while he's not the kind of guy she normally finds herself attracted to she's definitely intrigued. Lawyer Connor Sullivan has earned his bad-boy reputation, but when it comes right down to it, he really is a guy with a heart of gold, case in point he dotes on his young niece. The one steadfast rule that Connor has is that his relationships don't last more than a month. When Abby and Connor are in the same room their chemistry is undeniable. Connor is up front with her about his dating rules and she decides to take a chance and have the fun that she often denies herself. This book is witty, sexy and the ending will make your jaw drop. You definitely want to get your hands on book two as quickly as possible!

As long as you don't read the last sentence of this book, it's a happy ending/you can predict the ending. The last senate ruins the book for me. Other then that it's a 5 star book. (If u read the last sentence the book ends on a CLIFFHANGER!!) I had to warmly my fellow book adicts. Otherwise this book was amazing and I loved it.
