About this ebook

Lines are crossed and promises broken when a forbidden kiss ignites an irresistible attraction in this sizzling brother’s best friend romance…

“Promise me you’ll always look out for Andie.”

By the time I was seventeen, I knew my best friend’s younger sister was the only girl I’d ever love.

We’re all grown up now, but my feelings for Andie haven’t changed. She’s the smartest woman I know and the only one who sees through the carefree act I hide behind. She deserves better than a screw-up like me—failed musician, part-time handyman, and full-time black sheep of my family.

I’ll do anything to protect her, so I keep my distance and my hands to myself.

When the tumble-down house she inherited needs repairs, I jump on my white horse and swoop in to help her with the renovations. Even though it means spending dangerous amounts of time together.

I’ve got it under control until the night a surprise kiss changes everything between us.

One scorching-hot taste of her is all it takes to shatter my defenses. Now that I know how much she wants me, I’m addicted to our secret glances and stolen touches.

Around our friends and family, we pretend we’re still just friends.

But when we’re alone? We can’t keep our hands off each other.

This game we’re playing is bound to blow up in our faces, just like everything else I touch. If I can’t prove I’m worthy of Andie’s love, I’m going to lose my two best friends in the world.

MY CONE AND ONLY is a swoony, feel-good friends to lovers romance featuring a STEM heroine who takes no crap, a surprisingly loyal bad-boy rocker who’s head over heels for the one woman he thinks he can’t have, lots of small-town shenanigans, and an epic grovel.

It stands alone with a guaranteed HEA and kicks off the six-book KING FAMILY series. Your heart will melt for this band of unruly siblings behind a Texas ice cream empire as they stumble on the rocky road to love while dealing with their big, messy family.

With all the drama and bromance going on, it should have been Wyatt and Josh in a relationship. It's a tale about a man who was in love with his best friend's sister since he was a teen but was bound and gagged to a promise to always protect the sister from bad unwanted suitors who would only hurt her. So since he couldn't declare himself, he spent a decade slutting around until he manned up and confessed what he felt.Predictable plot but overall, it's an enjoyable read.

Ice cream + dancing + romance = LOVE (yay!) I've read every ARC by this author and I am never disappointed! All the female leads are inspiring, fierce, fun, and intelligent and Andie is no different. I want to be just like them! Her male counterparts are always cute, handsome, and loveable and grow on you...lol. They don't make the best decisions sometimes (I was pulling my hair at times when Wyatt said or did something silly) but that's life and you learn from your mistakes which is definitely a life lesson we ALL go through. The romance was sweet and sexy and kept me wanting more. I enjoyed Wyatt and Andie's story and the humor across the dialogue. Every chapter put a smile or smirk on my face as their relationship developed. I can't wait until I read the next book for another King brother. It's a heartwarming story about the girl/boy-next-door so to speak (so who can't relate?!) but in a refreshing light with sprinkles of comedic spice and dashes of drama. This is a winning recipe for success and will leave the reader feeling giddy when you reach the end. During these strange and unknown times, it's a relief to know I can escape to a lovely town in Crowder, TX for laughter, happiness, and some addictive romance. Please keep writing Susannah and I'll keep reading! <3 ;D

Andie and Wyatt have been circling each other for years. She's had a crush on him for years but believes he only sees her as his best friend's little sister. Wyatt has crushed on Andie for years but he comes from way too dysfunctional a family. He may love her but he also knows that he may not be what she needs. Wyatt refuses to be yoked to the family business so he makes a living doing oddjobs and singing with his band. He may not have access to the money he used to but he is a damn sight happier. When Andie suddenly gets hit with a lot of HOA fines and is in danger of losing her house, Wyatt steps in and gets to work fixing up her snag list. But all that forced proximity is going to lead to more than a fixed-up house - they may just mend each other's heart too! They burn up the dance floor (and the bedsheets) together! I totally loved Andie and her verbal diarrhea of facts. She has a great sense of fun, a sassy mouth, and a take no prisoners attitude. Wyatt may play the playboy role but he has a core of mush - I love seeing him with his nephews/nieces/younger siblings. That King clan is well and truly mixed up and I'm so proud of him for taking a stand against all his father's toxicity. Watch out for all the ice cream puns and a great romantic gesture scene to make you laugh and sigh! Tanner and Lucy are up next - I can't wait to see what is in store for them!
