this was a great start to the Hidden Order of Magic: Shaken series, it had what I wanted from the beginning chapter to this series. June Leung has a great writing style and it worked in this universe. I was hooked from the first page and glad the characters were what I expected. I can't wait to read more from this series. it was an okay book, but the generic description of monsters was kinda lame. There was no follow up on it,or the how and why. A little annoyed that it was left hanging.

WE have action, suspense and magic. I felt that it could have been written a little better instead of drawing it out so much. Lia fights monsters, but when Adrian shows up to help he is better. What will she do? Will sparks fly or will hate and jealousy take over? Follow their story as they take down monsters.
