About this ebook

If you love sweet romances (PG-rating), look no further than Rachelle Ayala's Have a Hart series. The Harts are a family of San Francisco firefighters. Their family motto is: Heart comes first.

A fashion designer and her basset hound puppy convince a burned ex-firefighter that beauty is never skin deep and neither is love.

Former fireman Larry Davison covers his burn scars well, by working at an elementary school as a custodian where he finds a lost hound dog behind the dumpster.

Fashion designer Jenna Hart is in town to do a charity fashion show when she loses her top model, Little Treat. When Larry turns up with the puppy, she asks him to be in the show and bachelor auction.

Larry’s not sure he belongs in a fashion show and balks at being her good deed. Can Jenna convince Larry beauty is never skin deep and love's arrow strikes not only the beautiful, but the bold?

Serious subjects delivered with humor, heart and wisdom. Ms. Ayala is good at her craft. Her ability to deliver a story that has every element from laughter, to drama and optimism is one of the reasons I have become a fan. Larry, Jenna and a matchmaking pooch make for a charming combination. Valentine Hound Dog imparts a beautiful lesson in a light heartwarming way. Beauty is the culmination of heart, body and soul not flaws on the outer shell but the light that shines from within. I lost a piece of my heart within this cute tale.

**This review is for the audiobook** Lately, I have become a fan of Sweet Romance Novels, particularly those of Rachelle Ayala! My latest find, Valentine Hound Dog: The Hart Family: Have a Hart Book, 2 by Rachelle Ayala, Narrated by Jennifer Groberg is a new favorite to add to my list! It is the second book in the Have a Hart series, and focuses around the growing relationship of Jenna and Larry. I'll allow you to read the plot description on your own, so I don't accidentally let any details slip out, but I will say that between the fashion show, firefighters, and the cutest hound dog ever, I couldn't say no! It is a great story, and so well-written. It is a little over 4.5 hours long, which is perfect for a car ride up north with the girls, a weekend at home, or just one to hear on your day off work! I devoured it in 2 days, only because I started it at nighttime, otherwise, I probably could have finished it in one day because I loved it that much! Thank you, Rachelle, for your stories! I love the Hart family, and feel like I'm part of the clan, too! :-) The narration of Jennifer Groberg definitely adds to the book. I prefer audiobooks, but it's not everyday you find a narrator like Jennifer Groberg! Her voice is absolutley perfect! She is easy to listen to and her performance is one of a kind! We all have listened to narrators act out the voices of both guys and girls, but is it often we also get to hear the voices of the animals/pets? Well, you do in this series! In Book 1, she gave us the the voices of the pet lovebirds, and in Book 2 we get Harley the Hound Dog! And...it's not just the typical, Arf! Bark! or Ruff! We get the real hound dog voice, howls and all! Way to go, Jennifer, and keep it up! I rate the Sweet Romance, Valentine Hound Dog: The Hart Family: Have a Hart, Book 2 by Rachelle Ayala, Narrated by Jennifer Groberg, 5/5 stars. Although romance is not my go-to genre, the writing of Rachelle Ayala is so engaging, that I find myself thinking about these characters on a regular basis, now! I definitely recommend this book to those who enjoy romance, as well as to those looking for something new and sweet. I really enjoyed it, and I think you will, too! It leaves you feeling happy...I'm still smiling! I can't wait for the next one!! Thank you for reading my review. I hope it was helpful. :-)
