Tom Fowler brings us another brilliant book featuring John Tyler. This time Tyler meets a young woman who shares his love of cars but when she turns up dead he just can’t let it go. Tyler has quickly cemented himself as my favourite character. He’s the kind of hero we all dream of being. He’s got a clear understanding of what’s right and he’s more than ready to stand up and do what’s right to protect others. The part of the story that I love the most is his relationship with his daughter, who herself has inherited her father’s sense of justice. Tom Fowler deftly avoids all and any cliches along the way creating two believable and totally capable characters. Their interactions are both entertaining to read and very plausible despite the nature of the thrilling situations they find themselves in.

I really enjoy Mr. Fowler’s stories. This is the second series of his works that I have read and as with the first one he pulls you in and does not let you go until the end. I love the first series and can’t wait to read more of this story.

riveting story line, love all the characters. maybe alexie could have her own story after she finishes school, just a thought .
