Overview

Annie is afraid to lose everything she knows. John is starting over after his wife's death. Can they find their way together?

As a divorced mother, Annie Gerhard's friends and social life are enmeshed with the California coast. It's the only home her 15-year-old son David has ever known and his father lives there, but she needs a high-paying job to maintain their lifestyle. A recession has made jobs in the Silicon Valley hard to find--especially for a woman in technology. Does she need to move somewhere else to give her son the future she wants him to have?

Widower John Johnson has escaped Montana memories of a deceased wife and betraying girlfriend by buying an independent bookstore in California. Now he has to make it a success in spite of a recession while settling himself and his horse into a region full of traffic and people. Being attracted to a spunky woman with control issues is not on his to-do list. California Sunset is a story about two people facing real life issues who must earn their chance at love.

If you enjoy women's fiction with romantic elements, you'll enjoy this book.

Buy California Sunset, the first book in the California Romance Series, and settle down for a comfortable read.

(Warning: This story is an abuse survivor romance and may trigger people who have suffered.)

About the Author

Casey Dawes writes emotional contemporary women's fiction and romance with real people with real problems discovering real love. Backdrops include her home state of Montana, and other places she's lived, worked, or traveled to, including coastal California. She lives in one of four of Montana's big cities on the banks of the Clark Fork River. She writes most of her books sitting on the couch watching the daily deer parade, birds at the feeder, and glimpsing eagles, osprey, herons and the occasional fox. When not writing, she is a substitute teacher at a local school and provides services to other self-published authors through Concierge Self-Publishing. In her spare (?) time, she knits, quilts, bakes bread, and otherwise pretends she's domestic. She and her husband love to travel-mostly by car-to discover unique American sites off the beaten trail. Who knows, maybe she'll be in your neck of the woods some day! To learn of new releases, click the Amazon follow button, or sign up for her newsletter (http://www.stories-about-love.com).
