About this ebook

When a fatal fever nearly wipes out the entire world's population, the survivors of what became known as "the Dying" believe the worst is in the past. Little do they know…

In the aftermath of the Dying, survivor Jessica Monroe searches for sanctuary in a world unlike any she's ever known before. As fear and isolation envelop her, Jessica encounters the sensitive and helpful Jace, who she believes is another survivor. But Jace has a past and secrets of his own that's he not ready to disclose. Soon Jessica realizes that the destruction of humanity might actually be the first step in a larger, more complicated plan -- a plan that may very well involve her. Struggling to discover her role in a terrifying new world where everything has changed, she must decide who she can trust. But is the price for that trust just too high? (The Djinn Wars: Book 1)

I loved all of the detail put into this book and that we were not left wondering about why certain things happened and how they would be resolved. I liked that the author made a safe place full of everything needful for our character to survive and thrive in her new situation. The charactor acted and did everthing in the way that I believe I or anyone else would have an that made the story very believable. I hate reading a book and thinking the whole time what I would have done differently but I knew the author only wrote it that way to make the story turn out a certain way. That just makes me come out from the story when I just want to be lost in it. So that was great. The fact that it took nearly the entire book to find out the main theme and storyline was a little off putting but since I knew this was the first in a series of books, I was ok with that. Over all, a good read and well thought out story.

Started out quickly and kept my interest but it got slow in the middle and was just getting interesting at the end. I'm going to read the next book to see if it is better.

It's very well written. It's a little drawn out for me. And very long winded. And like a slow burn. I enjoyed it. It also leaves you with these insane cliff hangers that make you want to scream.
