Wilderness: A Dark Romantic Suspense Novel

He embraced the feral side. Brock (MMC) was running from a bad accident that hurt him and others. It was that flight that he was off to brave the Alaskan wild. Before hiding out for a couple months off the grid, he meets a local lady that keeps his thoughts warm for the winter. Jessie (FMC) gets mad over the constant harassment from a guy (Cort) in town. Cort threatens to ruin her and all she has left of her family. To forget about the problem, she takes Brock on a nice no-strings attached ride for the night. The next morning, he is gone when she wakes. She is late for her pilot job and comes face to face with the one-night stand. Dropping Brock off in the wilderness was easy, staying away seems to become hard. Add in Brock’s personal trauma and Jessie’s problem with a local and things get bumpy. This story is a perfect easy read about two people redefining themselves and dealing with some serious dark problems. It gets gritty and dark with several trigger warning situations. TW/18+

Delicious Mountain Man read! I love me a mountain man read and this hit all my favorites: rugged, possessive, protective, muscular, beard, MINE, etc….. I also loved that this had 2 stubborn (male & female) alphas with an instant connection but also that I needed to see who would save who in this romance. This was the very 1st book of Lynn’s that I read and she now has me addicted. She grabbed my attention from the very 1st chapter and when I started this book I never put it down. Hook, Line Sinker for me. Time to One-click book 2 in the series!!

I've know this book was coming for awhile and let me tell you, Lynn Burke has done an outstanding job with the writing of Brock and Jessie's story. Both of these characters have pasts they are running from or trying to forget when they cross paths. One night together and they go their separate ways. But fate has a way of throwing people together. Full of emotion, drama, mystery and a person who is stalking Jessie, they must come together to stop or get rid of the threat!!!I was on the edge of my seat flipping the pages as fast as I could read. What happens is something I didn't even see coming. Ms. Burke has some "dark" in her that totally fit this story. Now it's got me excited for the next book in this series. Very well written with two main characters that will suck you into the story!
