About the Author

Robin Burnham, first time Author, Mother, and Registered Nurse brings to you, the strength, compassion, and experience needed to empower and raise our youth with warrior expertise and strength. A registered nurse for four decades, split-second decisions became second nature, sometimes it meant saving someone's life. For success starts with the belief of attainment and the tools offered bring the greatest of visions, hopes, and dreams.

Robin was born and raised in Upstate N.Y., a small city named Schenectady. Sch'dy for short, was known as "The Electric City" home of General Electric, it was safe and quiet. It was routine to walk by myself at a young age to elementary school then after school to St. John The Evangelist for catechism, and then home. There were no worries when the kids played all day at Central Park, as long as they were home for dinner. On the weekends, a bike ride to Glenville to play with the cousins was in the plans. You could leave the doors unlocked at night and the windows open without any thought of harm. Carefree, the children played outside all day, climbed trees, played on swings, and played board games. Magical to say the least.

Time is slow when young, wishing you were old enough to drive and get your own apartment. Time is fast when older, almost like a time warp into the future.

When looking back to how things were, to how they are today, one must stop and think of the clear message that has been sent. Our children can only be carefree with the protection of a caretaker at their side.

There is evil lurking and one must ask "Why the change?". Our children must be wise to the world and be alert to the undertow that is playing. The family unit must once again become strong and it is the skill of the caretaker to inform, prepare, and guide. It is our duty to raise our children to be savvy and empower them toward success.
