About this ebook

Grumpy hero + sunshine heroine

Sadie Stephens has loved her brother's best friend, Lincoln Carver, since she was a girl, but a family feud involving a runaway bride closed any options for a romance. Lincoln's only interest in her now is one of obligation and guilt. After all, he's the one responsible for the lassoing "incident" (don't ask.)

Lincoln's life was perfect until his matchmaking granny stuck her nose in his business. Now, he’s accidentally injured his best friend's sister, the woman partly responsible for a family feud.

This is book 1 in The Cowboys of Stone Ridge series and it features Sadie and Lincoln. It’s sad to say that sometimes our past shapes our future and this is true for Lincoln Carver. Sadie’s definitely got her work cut out for her with this cowboy. She is such a pure, beautiful soul and just wants to help everyone. Lincoln, well he needs a good dose of that beautiful soul. Fantastic read with all the feels.

This story really appealed to the romantic in me. I sets the stage very well for the books that follow it.

About the author

Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama Heatherly lost her accent by the time she was two. Her grandmother, Mima, kept both the accent and spirit of the southern woman alive for decades. Her favorite sayings were, "Give me some sugar," and "Thank you, Jesus." After leaving Alabama, Heatherly lived with her family in Puerto Rico and Maryland before being transplanted kicking and screaming to the California Bay Area. She now loves it here, she swears. Except the traffic.
