About this ebook

Her secret magical ability could put herself and everyone she loves in danger.

Jen, a human chameleon, can transform herself into any inanimate object she touches—an ability she’s hidden from everyone, especially her parents. That is, until she meets Ainsley, a handsome artist with paintings so beautiful that Jen wants to jump inside them and become one with the fantastical worlds. Which, for Jen, is actually a possibility…

When Jen and Ainsley go out on a date after the gallery opening, Jen senses there is something special about Ainsley, too: He has a secret…just like hers. For the first time in her life, she has met someone who can truly understand her, who knows her secret without her saying a word.

Of course, they’d make the perfect couple. Except for one thing.

His secret could kill her.

First time paranormal young adult romance novel reading by this particular author, Karin De Havin centered around the main characters Brooklyn, a shape shifter and Ainsley, a vampire in a town in NYC where quite a few paranormal reside. I can't wait to read the sequels and highly recommend if you enjoy paranormal or sci-fi genre.

The idea of a shapeshifter who can only turn into inanimate objects is definitely different. I was intrigued, right up until the witches, vampires and fairies. Oh no, another blah paranormal book. But then, in the introduction of the next book, there were characters who had stories that could go anywhere. Now I am interested again.

Completely inconsistent. Jumping from one thing to the other. A rather jarring experience with flat emotionless characters. Not worth the read
