I am voluntarily submitting my honest review after receiving an ARC of this ebook from the author. I really enjoyed this quick read. Campbell's vivid descriptions and finely-honed storytelling keep the tension steadily building in this sweet, romantic novella. The depth of the bond established between the two main characters is astonishing given the short length of the work, and the pacing of the story is absolutely spot-on. This is a really well-written, fun story of surprising emotional depth that fans of historical fiction won't want to miss.
