About the author
Easton Livingston has written articles for national magazine publications, newspapers, online websites, and graphic novels. He began his self-publishing journey in 2013. In 2017, he revamped his brand, re-releasing all of his books.
He writes superheroic-type speculative fiction weaving elements of action, the supernatural, and the psychological. He often describes his work as a cross between the cult television show 4400, Netflix’s Stranger Things, and the television show Fringe.
His first project was the miniseries novel titled The Dark Corner, featuring the Makarios Cadre, a collection of supernatural suspense tales. These stories that tie together that make a novel. There are five stories in all (technically six). The first three, The Inception Trilogy, are free for citizens of his R.I.U. (Reality Imagination Universe) which you can download on Amazon. To become an R.I.U. citizen, go to his sign up page at www.eastonlivingston.com.
These tales are the precursor to his novel Blackson's Revenge, a gritty military drama with an action/sci-fi twist which is out now along with the follow up in that series, Blackson's Repentance and Blackson’s Redemption, all a part of his series The Poltergeist Files.
Easton's books are clean fiction, focusing on fantastic tales for adults which often address mature themes (think PG-13).
His latest novel is the first in his new supernatural suspense series, The Nepios Conspiracy, featuring the return of the Makarios Cadre. Titled Pandilla, it is the longest novel he has written, coming in at 423 pages (379 in ebook). He’s working hard on the next novel, Worshipers, coming soon.

His first mission was really interesting, and the author did a good job of jumping right into the action. After the mission, tragedies happened and betrayals become evident. The choices and actions of the protagonist changed the ambiance into a dark and brooding trudge through the depths of hell. While a reader of this genre might not expect sweetness and light, the plot descended into a single mood which demonstrated the author's inability to flow with the realities and changes of the human condition.
The author did show the ability to paint a consistent picture of a dark world. It's just not a world I would care to revisit.
