About this ebook

A widower raising her challenged daughter. A neighbor that proves science isn't as powerful as one's heart.

Her husband is dead. Her daughter doesn’t speak. The town she’s raising her child in is being set aflame and nobody knows who is doing it or why. Sherry is alone, facing her worst fears while the town pulls together to keep everyone safe. She prays that the culprit will be found before it’s too late, but her instincts predict otherwise. When a new face arrives in town, Sherry realizes that she isn’t the only one who has lost, and more importantly, that there is much more that she could lose.

The local fire department hires a man with a painful past, who shares a unique bond with the Denise, little girl who doesn’t speak. A common interest between them creates trust and opens doors otherwise believed to be closed forever. Residents wonder if this new face will be a help or a hindrance to the town; but only Denise knows. And she can’t tell anyone.

Anything is possible, especially when love and faith are present. She Only Speaks to Butterflies is a heartwarming story that helps us see that sometimes modern science isn’t as powerful as the human heart. Pick up your copy today!

About the author

Back in 2011, as my family and I waited in line at a local fire hall during a Halloween event, I watched a little girl wilt like a flower as she observed the scary house she was about to enter at the end of the line.  After her parents tried to comfort her to no avail, a young fireman approached and successfully calmed the girl.  Seeing the transformation in her from the man's tender words inspired me to write about such a character.  It was miraculous to me how a total stranger could quell an innocent girls' fears, and as such, Denise Little was born.

She Only Speaks to Butterflies takes place in a small town in Arkansas, where a young mother, Sherry, loses her husband suddenly in a freak accident that her daughter Denise witnesses, leaving the preschooler with a form of post-traumatic stress disorder that robs her of speech.Writing about living in a small town is something I've always wanted to do, and this story seemed so fitting for that.  This book was originally categorized as a christian romance, but it is so much more than that.  It is a story about all types of love, but moreover, it is a story about transformation from love.
