Hi. I loved the concept of a modern true romance with original characters. I pick up this book with expectations of sharp characters and a unique perspective on a subject I love. I love sled dogs their amazing. Shane seemed an interesting well thought out character. Lauren started out with alot of promise. Her applying for a position to care for animals in need was exciting and in Alaska even better. Even the fact she had no knowledge of how was a new story line challenge. I was looking forward to see how it worked. But starting day 1 she didn't read the instructions how to care for the dogs. Her character continued to ignore simple instructions because she's doing it her way just lost my interest in the story. Day 2 she's all I belong here, finding myself. That didn't make sense while Lauren 's unwillingness to simply read that just blew it for me. I'll read the next book by this author maybe learn more about her style come back to this one later. The time line was too quick for me to get into all the grandstanding Lauren was doing on day 2.

great read. I love how Lauren was always so positive but stubborn and refused to be bullied. So glad everything came to a very happy conclusion.
