This is by far my favorite book in the Bridgeport Lake series, and that’s saying something, because I loved the first two!! These books are stand alone stories, but if you haven’t read the first two in this series, I’d suggest doing that first because it’s fun to see different characters make cameos and build upon themselves, particularly Lauren’s character. This story struck me as something special right away because of how deeply raw the two main characters are. Both have walked through painful circumstances in their lives and a bond is formed because of this. It’s a beautiful story of redemption, unconditional love, and grace!

This series just keeps getting better and sets the bar so high for the next one. Danielle Arie is a marvelous writer with an adept vocabulary that takes you places you never imagined going. Even this emotionally challenged Granny used an awful lot of tissues.

Unusual situations with original responses based on God’s love. We need more like this!

Carter and Lauren meet at Bridgeport Lake camp where they’re both working. Carter is still grieving the loss of his wife and dealing with the guilt of why she died and he didn’t. Lauren has some family issues of her own to deal with. Gradually, they become friends and start spending their free time together. They grow closer and open up to each other. I’m not going to say anything else because it would leave a spoiler and I can’t stand it when people do that. Grab your copy and see if someone’s actions makes you not like them as much, as they did me.

Carter was back at Bridgepot Lake for healing This was where he had met his wife, now she was gone so was their child and so was his leg. And he felt it was all his fault still. But it was time to move on. Lauren was there to work but she had a secret and was scared that Pastor Gregg would throw her out like everyone else had in her life. Then she met Carter. He finally felt again. This sweet and heartfelt story was about broken lives and hearts trying to mend with the help of good friends and God.

This is book 3 in the series and I enjoyed it just as much as the first 2 books. The story between Lauren and Carter is great, the way he steps up and does everything he can to protect her and the baby.

This is an absolutely amazing story. A beautiful example of how the Lord takes our messes and makes them beautiful.

I wasn't sure how everything would come together, but it did. And I felt all of the pain they went through. And I learned some lessons myself along the way!

I definitely recommend this to anyone that's ever felt alone. Or that they were lacking. This goes straight to the heart.

This is the 1st book I've read written by Danielle Arie; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.
