About the authors
Cynthia Sterling decided to be an author when she was nine years old and read all of Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House books. A lover of books, history, chocolate, and flowers, Cynthia is the author of a dozen award-winning historical novels.
Jenna Jaxon is a best-selling author of historical romance, writing in a variety of time periods because she believes that passion is timeless. She has been reading and writing historical romance since she was a teenager. A romantic herself, Jenna has always loved a dark side to the genre, a twist, suspense, a surprise. She tries to incorporate all of these elements into her own stories.
She lives in Virginia with her family and a small menagerie of pets--including two vocal cats, one almost silent cat, and a cocker spaniel who thinks he is a cat.
When not reading or writing, she indulges her passion for the theatre, working at Hampton University, a private HBCU, as a professor of theater and humanities, and as a theater director. She often feels she is directing her characters on their own private stage.
Jenna equates her writing to an addiction to chocolate because once she starts she just can’t stop.
Tabetha Waite began her writing journey at a young age. At nine years old, she was crafting stories of all kinds on an old Underwood typewriter. She started reading romance in high school and immediately fell in love with the genre. She gained her first publishing contract in July of 2016 and released her debut novel - “Why the Earl is After the Girl,” the first book in her Ways of Love historical romance series. Since then, she has become a hybrid author, published with both Soul Mate, Dragonblade, and Wolf Publishing, as well as transitioning into the independent market. She has won several awards for her books.
She is a small town, Missouri girl with two daughters, who continues to make her home in the Midwest with her husband. When she’s not writing novels filled with adventure and heart, she is either reading, or searching the local antique mall or flea market for the latest interesting find.
You can find her on most any social media site, and she encourages fans of her work to check out her website and join her mailing list for updates.
Historical Romance author Wendy LaCapra writes award-winning books reviewers describe as ‘heart-pounding, entrancing’, ‘lusciously romantic and sparkling with wit.’ As a teen, Wendy discovered spine-tingling gothics in her local public library, inspiring her to craft her own seductive tales full of secrets and scandal. She lives with her husband in a quirky, historic building in NYC and loves a girls’ night in.
Catherine Tinley is a multi award-winning author who writes witty, heartwarming Regency Romance for Harlequin Mills & Boon. She has loved reading and writing since childhood, and has a particular fondness for love, romance, and happy endings.
After a career encompassing speech & language therapy, Sure Start, maternity campaigning and being President of a charity, she now manages a maternity hospital. She lives in Ireland with her husband, children, and dog and can be reached at www.catherinetinley.com, as well as facebook.com/CatherineTinleyWriter and @CatherineTinley on twitter. https://linktr.ee/CTinley

Mrs. Sartin's Secretary by Wendy La Capra
A widow, Mrs Sartin has a secretary Matthew, who she suddenly noticed when she saw him outside at an event outside of work. But she was ten years older and his employer which seemed to get in the way. Little did she know he felt the same about her but he knew his managing mother would heartily object and want him to marry a younger lady. But hearts cannot be denied as they really get to know each other and find that nothing can stand in their way! Wendy writes wonderful stories that always capture my heart!
To Hell and Back by Annabelle Anders
"January twenty-ninth. Two days ago. Found dead. In his bed. Smothered with is own pillow." Eve contimplated. What a perfect end to a wastrel of a husband after all these years. Eve had been married over twenty years to Jean Luc but they had not lived together for many years. Mr Waverly, her man of business delivered the news. Was it bad to feel relief? This is a perfectly wonderful story of Eve who had truly not felt the affections or comfort of a man in so long and Niles, her man of business who had been in love with her forever. Now she is free and the journey they set out on to go settle the estate, is fraught with so many unexpected happenings! Humor, a tumble (ok not that yet!), an awareness that has just come to life and romance that is sigh worthy! Her dear Mr. Waverly. For a novella, this packed everything in to make this tale amazing. I adore everything this author writes and I can only add this splendid story to the list!
A Lady's Guide to Marriage by Tabetha Waite
A lovely story about a couple married over twenty five years but who have lived apart for over five. The sad part is they love each other but cannot seem to come back together as neither will take the first step. A lot of misunderstandings and unspoken words have kept them seperate. But as they end up together in the country, can they talk and realize what they mean to each other? Filled with humor and hearfelt emotions, Tabetha Waite brings this wonderful story to life, that I could not wait to find out what happend!

A Letter from a Lady by Cynthia Sterling
A wife who was abandoned by her husband years ago, Clarissa lives with her best friend and two children and runs a home for the ailing. Adam is looking for his brother and takes a room at the retreat run by Clarissa. He suspects her husband had something to do with the disappearance of this sibling. Thinking he may be a spy, Clarissa and her friend are not sure why he is there or who he really is at all! A suspenseful story that kept me reading until the end!
A Lady of Courage by Catherine Tinley
Another wonderful second chance at love story that involves Elizabeth who has spent years on her own. She was ruined years ago in a scandalous elopement and then left with a child. Now she returns to the world and goes to London. Hopefully she can find happiness and a love that has ben denied her for so long. Just a beautiful story!
5 Stars.
Amelia and Matthew. What a delightful story. I loved how this story flowed and the words that Wendy LaCapra used. I know that sounds weird, but it was almost lyrical. Amelia and Matthew gave me all the right feels... and I shed happy tears for their Cinderella HEA. Wendy LaCapra is a “new to me” author and will definite be getting more of her books.
To Hell and Back, by Annabelle Anders... 5 Stars
Omg I’m ugly crying!!! I love Niles and Eve so freaken much!! This is my first Annabelle Anders story and will definitely not be my last. Such a complete and emotion filled story in a novella... and she even threw in a little intrigue. Beautifully written!!
A Lady’s Guide to Marriage by Tabetha Waite...
5 stars
Omg Albina and Michael frustrated the *Beep* outta me... but I did love this story. Second chance love between married people is one of my favorite themes. If these two would have just communicated with each other, they wouldn’t have had to spend 5 years apart. But the end made my heart melt and get all weepy. Well played, Tabetha Waite. Well played, indeed.
Heart of Decadence by Jenna Jaxon...
3 Stars
Nathan and Amelia. Ummm... I did enjoy this story. It’s a clean romance, no sex. Such great plot lines, but I felt like we were missing so much of the story in between the chapters.

This review is for To Hell and Back, by Annabelle Anders.
This sassy little short story is part of the Devilish Debutantes series. And I for one was so happy Ms. Anders decided to write yet another story in this series. Mrs. Marigold Evelyn "Eve" Mossant is a devoted mother to Rhododendron, Coleus and Hollyhock. She escaped a dangerous and unhealthy marriage, with her daughters in tow. Now living in London in a modest town-home, she took a chance and placed a bet on her oldest daughter, Rhoda, and won! Afraid her husband would fine out about her new wealth, she hired Mr. Niles Waverly, a financial investor and employee of Thomas Findlay. Thinking her money and she were safe, she was about to make an big financial investment herself. However, she gets word that her estranged husband is dead. What is she to do; but to travel to the estate and settle his affairs. After all, she will have to relinquish the property to his only male heir and nephew, Darius Mossant. Following this last task that connects her to her estranged husband, she will finally be free to live as she pleases. Or will she?
In lies a well told tale of Eve and Nile's journey, as they travel to the estate. Leave it to Ms. Anders to develop a plot that is mesmerizing, interesting and adventurous. This story is a light and easy read that can be read in one lazy afternoon, with a lovely glass of good olde iced tea beside you. The characters are funny and entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the ability to return to the cast of characters I have come to love. I do hope Ms. Anders will write Coleus and Hollyhock's stories as well. After all, I have no doubt she can come up with a theme for their respective story lines, much like she did with Eve and Niles story of second chance love. Get your book now friends. I highly recommend this book.
A Lady's Guide to Marriage, by Tabetha Waite
A lovely standalone novella about a middle aged couple whom have lost their way with one another. I quite enjoyed Lord and Lady Beauley's love nuances.
Lord Michael Baine, Viscount Beauley is living apart from his beautiful wife, Lady Albina Baine, Viscountess Beauley. While the Viscountess has been living in the town home in London for the past five years, the Viscount has been living in the country estate, willing his lovely wife to return to him. Thinking she'd be more happy without him, he had suddenly announced he was leaving five years prior. While sadden, hurt and disappointed, the Viscountess begins dealing with the separation from her husband by diving into an interest and passion of hers; writing a column for the local newspaper. Bored, tired and most definitely missing her husband, as their twenty-fifth anniversary approaches, Albina is encouraged by her good friend and author to return to the country estate. Purpose; to assess the relationship between she and her husband. Has the relationship stood the test of time? Does distance really make the heart grow fonder and heal old wounds? Or does out of sight, out of mind play into the ability of this couple to have a second chance at love? I was gifted a copy of this book by the author. I voluntarily leave this review.
This is not the end of my review, as there are more author's stories to read. Ms. Jenna Jaxon's story is next..... :)
