About this ebook

For the past year, talented chef Millie has been consumed with running her new catering business with her sisters, Dru and Tasha. It isn't until Jackson walks through their door that she realizes something may be missing in the recipe of her life.

For the past year, Jackson has been dealing with the fallout of his wife's abandonment. He's had to learn how to be a single father to their eight-year-old daughter, and will do anything to fill the void her mother left. It isn't until he commissions Millie for his daughter's birthday party that he realizes he's forgotten that he's not only a father, but a man.

They both think they're content in their lives, but sometimes the right amount of spice can turn an okay dish into a magnificent one. A Pinch of Salt may be all that's needed to bring Millie and Jackson the flavor they've been missing.

I like the overall story but it just didn't sit well that when Tasha needed her sisters after the encounter with Jericho, Millie postponed it in order to be with Jackson. I get it, you wouldn't want to smother her but family comes first and she had just met Jackson while she had already spent years with her sisters before and after the death of their mother. This really bugged me. Also communication gaps between Kayla and Jackson and Millie being the new person in their lives, obviously the child was going to freak out after suffering from prolonged time without her mother but they could have taken it the better way rather than jumping to things like that. Jackson could have just introduced them. Not in a way 'hey here's this new girl I'm super into and maybe we should get along' being a child of a parent moving on I have experienced it all and let me tell you it wasn't great at the age of 5 and it definitely sucks worse at the age of 9. Obviously our stories are way more different but these kept playing in mind even after I finished the book. Sorry for the rant 😅

Yes, it was sappy. There were a few typ-o's, which I am getting use to but it could be quite funny as well. I enjoyed reading the book very much and I look forward to reading the next two. I thought the authors descriptions were very good. The character's were strong and believable as well. There was love, romance and romps in the sheets and all were well done. The sexual scenes were not raw or graphic they were believable and loving. I would highly recommend this book if you just want a fun book to get swept away in.
