The story itself, at first, didn't grab me. After the first page or two, lol, it did and I enjoyed watching Ridge and Buffy (oh, those names!) dance around what would obviously be their destiny. I loved the interaction with the family in Louisiana. I lived most of my married life (57 years) in and around the Bayou country in La. and family connection was spot on. Her description of the areas made me so homesick I seriously didn't want it to end. I am not a southerner by birth but by the grace of God I am. My early years were in the Napa Valley in No. Cal. Coming South was a culture shock but the loving and friendly people made me "one of their own". My hubby's grandmother, when first meeting me, held her arms out to me and said "come on ovah heah darlin', you one of mah own now too". The authors description of the people is not exaggerated and that made the whole story very real to me. In the beginning, with Ridge getting on the stage at the convention was just a laugh out loud moment. This was an enjoyable read and I will most likely read it again. I certainly will recommend it to anyone.

I totally enjoyed reading this book. Loved the story line and characters. Great romance with some drama and lots of steamy hot sex. I will continue to follow this author and I look forward to reading more of her work.

This was a good read with lots of ups and downs. The main characters are well written, along with enough descriptive text to keep the readers interest, but not over do it and get boring. The only negatives for me were the lengthy history lesson Buffy have and the occasional error in verbiage. I will be looking for more books in the series.

Highly recommended read! I Really enjoyed this story and author. Different type of storyline that was enjoyable and fun. I also admired how it engaged in the importance of problems and solutions of our military hardships. An all around highly recommended great must read.

I am about two thirds of the way through this book. The story has been good-not great. The one thing I am having trouble with is the lack of good editing. The word "excepted" was used when it should have been "accepted." The word "their" was used for "they're." There are other instances that needed better editing, but I don't have time right now to list them. These are the two that stuck in my mind.

Buffy and Ridge meet at a romance conference, and she knew he was that special someone for her. While Ridge has been in the army, dedicated to bringing healthcare for them. Meeting her, he can’t believe a former model would look twice at him. A cute story that deal with romance and family to enjoy.

Loved all the focus on vets and the problems so many deal with. It added a great twist to the Love store part which was very good too!
