Review

"...I hit the ending, where Swaim smashes the reader in the face with a large brick. Once done, still shaking my head from impact, I decided that I'd enjoyed that."-San Francisco Book Review

"...Project StrikeForce is an exciting read. It has action, adventure, intrigue, and violence--but in the guise of a truly well-constructed, well-written science fiction action adventure novel."-Portland Book Review

From the Author

I was heavily inspired by the adventure/thriller books of the 60's and 70's, including The Destroyer and The Executioner books, but I was profoundly influenced by Elmore Leonard.

Reality takes a back seat with this novel, but once you get past the moderately slow start, you won't care! The action is hot and heavy with just the right amount of character development. There's tension between the good guys on the team, with a new CO and some personality quirks to be ironed out. And the action is plentiful and believable enough if you stretch your imagination. You won't find detailed analysis of every weapon or technology as with a Tom Clancy, yet the author is skillful enough to allow your mind to fill in the gaps.

The bottom line is the character development, and John Frist, terrorist turned hero, is a prime example. By the end of the book, you feel you have come to know him better than he knows himself. Project StrikeForce has been the only book this year I had difficulty putting down and I'm definitely on board for the next two novels in the series.

John Crist, a man with many devil's inside, he lost a lot and want many to suffer as well as he does. Secret Agency wants him to become their private Killer.

Just a little to begin. I was happy to read this book, somehow it makes the story more interesting. Some character development is needed as well as the story. But, even though is a work in progress, I was totally happy to have another author books to follow, that's why I gave it a 4⭐

    Project StrikeForce
    By: Kevin Lee Swaim
    Narrated by: Patrick Freeman
This is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary.
This book is a combat/anti-terrorist book with sci-fi elements. It is super action packed and never dull. This story is about a soldier named John, a good soldier but gets screwed over by the army and he comes back to the states mentally wounded and angry. He commits a horrible crime and ends up in Gitmo. He is taken from there and experimented on and his memories erased and replaced with new ones. He is made into a super soldier. If he remembers his old life, he is a dead man.
The narration is wonderful. The narrator does an excellent job with the voices, mood and emotions. He does the crazy daughter too well, I am scared of her and I know she is not real! LOL

4.0 out of 5 stars Not a unique plot but well written
Reviewed in India on October 8, 2018
The plot is by far not unique but the author has done a good job in writing. The story unfolds well and keeps one adequately gripped. Since it's a mix of reality and sci-fi, you need to be able to appreciate the sci-fi aspects to relate to it well. That is another area where the author has blended sci-fi with reality very well since it is very easy to get swayed and do too much of sci-fi in a book. The author has kept it quite balanced on that front. Overall a one time read with a gripping story and good quality writing.

Great plot line with several, sub plots that unfold as you learn about the characters. Definitely makes you think about the technology of the future. Fast moving action packed time sensitive operation that requires the best to avoid disaster. Very enjoyable read that I would recommend to anyone who likes military fiction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping and fast paced

I thoroughly enjoyed the 3 books in this series, I received free the first book and bought the next two, understanding that this is fiction makes it believeable whilst reading, but there is an undercurrent that this could also be happening in the real world. The characters were well written, intense and strong with a few funny sarcastic lines that happens I am sure in the circumstances the characters find themselves in. Not sure if written for males specifically but as a female I really enjoyed the three books, sadly I think it is the end of this series but I am sure there are so many more battles this group need to help to keep peace in the world.

Really enjoyed reading this book. The science element was intriguing with its use in developing a super soldier. The plot was riveting and the characters well developed. In the face of evil that the Office Of Threat Management had to deal with I appreciated its morality, and the sensitivity displayed to the consequences of catastrophic events, and in doing their jobs to prevent more terror. Further the book was refreshing in that it was not laced with profanity as so many are. Good job Kevin Lee Swaim; you are a light in your community and an excellent author.
