4.25/5 stars. Dark mafia romance, second in series. Read in order, please. I inhaled this within 24 hours. We do peek into the lives of a few other O'Malley siblings here (multi POV) and occasionally their chapters drag on a bit. But I do like checking in on them and watching their growth. Check CW. I received a copy to review, opinions are my own.

If the goal was to build anticipation, Katee Robert succeeded. The Wedding Pact is a risk filled, emotional whirlwind that will take the reader out of their normal comfort zone. I received an ARC of The Wedding Pact in exchange for an honest review. There were times I found it so fast paced that it was hard to follow but for the most part I loved the no holds barred action and the against the odds romance. The internal battle of right and wrong was a great theme for this read. Now I have to read the first book.

The Wedding Pact is book #2 in Katee Robert’s thrilling O’Malley’s series. This second installment picks right up where The Marriage Contract left off so if you haven’t read the first book in the series I highly recommend you start with it first. When you live in the world where you father is a huge component in the Irish mafia you pretty much don’t get a say so in any aspect of your life. Carrigan O’Malley has been able to hide from her father’s scrutiny under the guise of devoting herself to the church but the gig is finally up. When her father demands she marry a man he deems appropriate Carrigan knows her life as she knows it is over. Carrigan isn’t ready to tie herself down to a man and the only man who has ever made her feel any kind of passion is the sworn enemy of the family. James Halloran hasn’t been able to get Carrigan out of his mind since the one night of passion they shared together. He knows he will never be able to get her to forgive him for abducting her but even that can’t keep him away. When James learns that her father is forcing her into marriage James is furious. There is no way he is going to let her marry another man, Carrigan is his! This series really does keep getting better. I loved these two when they were introduced in the first installment and am thrilled that they have their own book. These two have some serious highs and lows throughout. Luckily these two lovers are able to come together for the HEA they both seriously deserve. Looking forward to the next installment in this series. I received a digital eARC of this book compliments of the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinions stated are my own.
