    Megan and Santiago are touring a local lighthouse for a day of fun and relaxation. The calm is shattered when a young woman they had just met falls from the lighthouse. Was it a suicide, a murder, or an accident?
    The young woman, Madison, and her friend both work for a tech industry with military contracts. Madison, though a recent hire, has moved up quickly in the ranks and is top contender winning a design prize at the company. The more Megan digs, the more she finds jealousy, revenge, and possibly even military involvement and the more convinced she is that Madison was targeted. Will Megan be next?
    This is a fun series and this book has some thrilling adventures. The relationship between Megan and Santiago is very sweet and Megan’s Great Dane is a terrific character.

    Megan and Santiago where enjoying a nice evening out at the light house where there are tours. Megan is in the gift shop just looking at things, she meets this lady named Madison and they get to talking together and learn a little bit about each other. Madison and Trey are co-workers and they decided to have education day at the Sheepherder's Island. So everyone in enjoying the day, suddenly all the lights go off, then they come back on a couple minutes later, why did the lights go out, then
    next thing you hear is screaming. So Megan runs outside to find out what has happened. She see her new friend laying on the sidewalk in front of the lighthouse. Did she jump no no no. Did someone push her?? But who is it and why?? They are having a contest at the company that Madison and Trey both work at. Madison is a very good at what she does, and it seems that somebody is out to get rid of Madison and steal her work. Megan is trying to help Madison because she is still alive but in bad shape. She give Megan a cylinder and Danny Boy, and when Trey shows up Madison it is you. Madison trusts only Megan to help her. They take Madison to the hospital. That's when things start going side ways. Some people from job comes back to check on Madison they go straight to Megan and they want answers no one will give them anything. Calls the chief of police and learns Madison is doing better but has a long way to go. No visitors allowed. They arrest Trey but he won't talk to anyone but Megan. It's time to do some investigation into what is really going on. Trey talks to Megan and she is wearing a wire so they will know what he told her but Trey is smart and he makes sounds that will mess up what they from the wire. What has Trey told her about everything??She does some of things that Trey told her about. She is getting in over head she and also in over Fred's home who is Megan great dane dog and he is like giant dog. So Megan and Fred are on the move!!.

    Megan and Santiago decided they needed a fun day out. They decided a ferry to the lighthouse would be just the thing. So the two of them, along with Megan's incredible Great Dane, Fred go there and meet a young girl named Madison. But a nice relaxing day turns into an investigation for Megan when Madison falls from the viewing balcony of the lighthouse. In critical condition, she is still alive. Megan can't get past, if she fell or was she pushed. But things are strange when Megan digs into Madison's job. Apparently, she works on a project for the government and maybe she knows too much? With so many twists and turns things aren't right. Will Madison survive? Will Megan get find the perpetrator? Or will she be attacked too? This is a page turning mystery that keeps you engaged until the surprise ending. This is a highly recommended series and this book is a great addition. I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

    This is a great cozy mystery that will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. What starts out as a relaxing fun day for Megan, Sebastian and Fred, the Great Dane turns into another mystery for Megan and Fred to solve. Even though this is book six of the series, it can be read as a stand alone.

    I’m coming a bit late to this series. This sixth book in the series is the first one I’ve read. The characters are great and you just have to love Megan’s Great Dane, Fred! The mystery is very well crafted and keeps you guessing. Megan risked a lot to figure out who pushed Madison off the lighthouse viewing balcony and I would have liked more closure between them after the arrests of the guilty parties. This was an enjoyable book and peaked my interest in finding out how the series began.
