Time Passed

In Washington, the Vietnam War was a war of statistics, and it cost thousands everything, in the form of those who died in that distant land, and those whose bodies were never recovered. These are the statistics known, and each is represented on the Vietnam War Memorial.

The statistic that is not known is the war's impact on the thousands who returned to live lives of physical and mental torture, forced to constantly relive their awful experiences, and the impact on those who remained home. Time Passed tells three of these stories.

Daniel Gardner, Phillip Russ and Benjamin Simms all served in Vietnam as Huey crewmembers. Each was shot down and suffered unbearable torture, and all three returned to decades-long lives of silent torture. But their lives changed when an unexplained event brought them together for the first time.

This is not the usual Vietnam War book. This story will make you wonder what American POWs actually endured. It may make you angry, or it may make you cry, but it will give you a new respect for America's warriors and those in their lives.
