I loved how Zoe wasn't fazed by Rory's attempts to scare her off which involve a funny episode with some cows and another with a much smaller animal that would have had many women running for the hills, but not Zoe! Even though she'd taken a huge leap moving to a secluded ramshackled cabin that need so much work she took on every setback with positivity. And what can I say about Rory other than what a man! All in all a wonderful start to a fantastic series.

The first thing I noticed was that there isn't a huge info dump at the beginning of the book. Evie sets the pace nicely, and I appreciated that since I've lately read a lot of books that give me 5 characters and set up a whole world in the first few pages. The great pacing continues for the entire book, and the humor thrown into the book is fun without having the humor of a 5th grade boy. It's slapstick at some times, and it helps you fall in love with the characters. I absolutely adored Rory!

This is a debut novel and wow what a perfect romcom. It’s a enemies-to-lovers (my favorite) novel. Zoe’s a strong female, she’s determined to change her lifestyle and does her best to demonstrate her firmness. Rory wants to be someone else and wants to be loved for who he really is beneath. Together both find something so much better. I love this Scottish Highlands romance it’s my first one and definitely no my last one. With a lovely happy ending. I want more of this Kinloch series.
