This book came at the right time for me. I had read a couple of books that were heavier reads and then started one that left me so confused. Then this book dropped and with 13 short stories it was just what I needed. Each story is different but fun. I was able to take the kindle to a appointment and read a whole story while waiting. As each story is about 5 - 6 pages it is perfect for when you don't have much time but want to read something light and uplifting.

I don't have a favourite story but there is one which is written in short letters and I found that fun. This is the book for when you find yourself waiting for something. (An appointment, bus etc) where you want to read something quick and easy and knowing you will have time to finish. I read two stories waiting for the Dr. If you have read any of Susan's previous books you won't be disappointed and if you are new to Susan this will give you a taste of her writing style.

Each story was intriguing & funny or heartwarming. You will thoroughly enjoy reading this book! I wish there were more or that each one was just a little bit longer; otherwise perfect!

I've read quite a few of the author's novellas and liked them. Seeing something light-hearted by her, I decided to borrow it from my library. (It seems she favors suspense/crime thrillers--not my type.)

The 13 stories are quite short, 10+ pages each (a page being counted per side). Though I primarily read novellas, I had trouble getting into these for the sheer fact of them being so brief. I'd just get the feel of where we were and learn someone's name, and it was over. To call them "romances" seems a stretch. Girl meets boy, instant attraction, promise of getting in touch/going on a date/etc. There was nothing I found offensive or annoying. I just wished they were longer tales.

My favorites were "That Jenson Boy" and "Letters to Kuwait" but several others made me smile. I read the book in two sittings. I thought that giving a list at the end of the author's other works was helpful.

Sooo, why 3 stars? Editing errors. Things don't bode well when the very first page has an error. From spacing issues to misspelled words, this book needed attention. While the stories were cute, the many editing mistakes were distracting. (I don't know anything about Tea Tin Press, except they've published numerous books by Susan Page Davis.)

The blue rose on the cover (I think it's a rose!) is pretty. The book is like pocket-size. The print size is good--not small or large. The stories themselves are light and pleasant. Hopefully you're not as picky as me and you'll give this little book a go. All in all, I'm glad I did.

The title says it all. If you don't have a lot of time to read, and want something light, fluffy and romantic, this is the book for you. Also it would be perfect if you are in the waiting room. These short stories are like an appetizer. They left me wanting for more.

Like the title says, each story was short and sweet. I liked the variety of stories. This is the perfect book if there is only time to read a few pages.
