Starlight Love: Starlight Ridge, Book 3 Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
She’s falling in love. He’s just playing a part.
When Adeline Baker was told that big-time Hollywood actor Eli Hunt wanted to film a movie in Starlight Ridge - and inside her small chocolate shop - she told them they were crazy. But the film crew arrived, and Eli Hunt with them, and fantasy quickly became reality. Adeline knew Eli would be charming - she’d read the magazines and seen the interviews - but she’d underestimated the pull he’d have on her. Too bad she couldn’t trust a word that came out of his mouth, because there was one thing Eli was famous for. He never stepped out of character while filming a movie - even off set.
The first time Eli Hunt had visited Starlight Ridge, he’d known he’d found the setting for his next romantic drama. The mild winter weather and small-town beach community was exactly what he was looking for. The pretty owner of the local chocolate shop hadn’t hurt either. But as filming commences, Eli realizes he has a problem. He feels more chemistry with Adeline than his costar. To make matters worse, he can’t step out of character. And the longer he spends with her, the more he desperately wishes he could.
It will take trust and courage for Adeline and Eli to step outside their roles and discover if what they have is real, or if it is merely a Hollywood illusion.
Starlight Love is the third book in the Starlight Ridge series. If you can’t get enough of small-town romance, holiday kisses, and Hollywood heroes, you’ll love listening to this sweet story.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2023A sweet and clean romance set in the small Pacific coast town of Starlight Ridge. This is #3 in a series and the first one I have read. Eli is a dyslexic actor who comes to town for a movie based around a chocolate shop, which is owned by Adeline. Adeline's father was an actor who had left her and her mother when she was a child, so she doesn't trust actors. I enjoyed the story, but got kind of annoyed at Adeline for thinking that all actors were like her father. There were funny situations throughout the book and a lot of great characters. Very nice ending.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2023This is a really cute series if love stories set in a small coastal town. This one is a bit more unbelievable as it involves a big shot actor coming to town to town and falling in love with the chocolate shop owner while working on a film with the same storyline. Kind of a stretch, but a good story either way.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 30, 2023I wondered how this story would be told, and I loved it! All of the characters are so very relatable. The beach town setting is always a bonus in my book. This series really fascinates me. This is Adeline's story, but the author also moves the stories along for Caleb and Bree and Isaac and Leanne. Mix a small town girl who owns and runs a chocolate shop with a movie star and sparks fly! It was terrific.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2020This is another sweet read in the Starlight series. Adeline Baker's chocolate shop is to feature predominantly in a Hollywood movie.
She has tried to steer clear of Hollywood types since her father left her mother and herself years before. Adeline makes fine chocolates and her shop does a nice business, but the payment for allowing her shop to be in the movie will help to tide her over during the non-tourist season.
She didn't expect to fall for the star of the movie. And since he assumes the personality of the characters he plays, she's not sure who she's falling for.
Adeline's discomfort with the relationship causes the famous Eli Hunt to reevaluate everything he's thought about himself.
I love the town of Starlight and the people who live there. I'm sure the people who have already discovered Starlight will love this story too and those who haven' read the previous books in the series won't have any trouble falling in love with the town. The book is well written and the characters are sure to remain in your thoughts after the book is done. This book is a fun read and has an unusual Christmas story wrapped in as an extra bonus.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2020Story: 3.5 stars
Right from the start, I will admit that movie star romances aren't my favorite tropes. But I liked that Ms. Bellemore made Eli Hunt into someone who was struggling with a problem in the best way he knew how. As it turns out, his coping skills caused him to lose his wife and his custom-made Tesla.
Adeline is a chocolate shop owner whose father was an actor. She has issues with Hollywood and all actors and is soon to be inundated with all of the above in her chocolate shop.
Our main characters both had epiphanies about their assumptions about the people in their lives and their own roles in interacting with these people. There was some good character growth.
*spoiler alert*
I wish that this had been a second-chances trope. It turns out that Eli Hunt's wife was truly hurt by his extreme method acting and she would have understood, and possibly been able to help, had he just opened up to her. Instead, this is a new love for him and that didn't sit entirely well with me. Perhaps his bridged were well and truly burned, but it didn't feel that way when he finally apologized to the ex-wife. (Of course, with all the making-out with the new love interest, a second chance trope would NOT have worked.)
Narrator: 3 stars
Claire Duncan is the narrator and does a good job. Her expressions are good, her speed of reading isn't too slow, and she does a believable male voice. I struggle with the fact that she emphasizes different words than I would, so it takes some getting used to every time I listen.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2021A good clean romance: I really enjoyed reading this story and would recommend it/series.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2020Adeline Baker, owner of the best and only chocolate shop in Starlight Ridge, loves her coastal town just the way it is. She has first-hand experience with Hollywood and she knows that filming a Hollywood movie with a blockbuster leading man will definitely change Starlight Ridge for the worse.
This movie is Eli Hunt’s first venture into producing and as soon as he saw Starlight Ridge he knew it was the perfect setting for the movie which is loosely based on the town and it’s residents. He is a method actor and lives his character from the beginning until the end of the filming. The script calls for a chocolate shop owner and an attention-seeking film star to fall in love but Eli can’t seem to keep his eyes off the owner’s assistant; played by Adeline.
Starlight Ridge is a perfect setting for a love story and the series is amply sprinkled with interactions between the quirky residents. I received an advance copy but my review is honest and voluntary. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
