M. Cate Lee writes adult paranormal cozy mysteries under this name, and young adult fantasy and sci fi as Marty C. Lee. She has a patient husband as well as three children who don’t always think she’s funny. Her in-law child thinks she’s hilarious, though, so all is well. Between writing and spending time with her family, she reads, embroiders, paints-by-number, and gardens.
Her characters take over her brain on a regular basis. If you catch her muttering to thin air, she's probably arguing with one of her characters. She has learned to keep a notebook by her bed to jot down ideas so she can go to sleep and deal with them in the morning.
