Lloyd Lofthouse is a US Marine (1965—1968) and combat vet managing PTSD. His Josh Kavanagh thriller series started from a prompt in his VA-PTSD support group in 2018. It took a few more weeks before Lloyd woke up one morning and realized those characters living with PTSD like him weren’t going to go away. Biography

Lloyd Lofthouse is a US Marine (1965—1968) and combat vet managing PTSD. After the Marines, he went to college and earned a BA in journalism and later an MFA. After working as a nightclub maître d, he taught English and journalism in a public high school. For his first published novel, My Splendid Concubine, Lloyd visited mainland China several times to learn more about that country’s people, culture, and history.
