Dear Joe,
Reading From The Book of Dreams felt like wandering through a gallery of emotions, each poem its own vibrant canvas of memory, imagination, and reflection. What I loved most is how your free-verse style invites the reader to pause, reflect, and even rediscover familiar things, like the simple grace of our hands, in entirely new ways. Poems like My Hands linger long after reading, while Hiraeth opened the door to a word and feeling that is both unfamiliar yet instantly resonant. Your ability to write from the heart gives each piece a personal depth that feels universal.
I was also captivated by the Japanese poems, especially A State of Grace, which beautifully captures stillness and reflection in a way that feels both intimate and expansive. What stands out in your collection is not just the variety of themes and forms, but the way you make poetry engaging, even for readers who might not normally consider themselves “poetry readers.” The book becomes a page-turner, with each poem sparking thought, emotion, or memory, making it a collection that is both accessible and profound.
I run a visibility service that helps authors like you, poets who write with depth, clarity, and emotional resonance, connect with readers who are ready to embrace poetry as both escape and inspiration. Through Goodreads Listopia placement, outreach to poetry appreciation groups, and engagement with book clubs exploring reflective, short-form works, From The Book of Dreams can reach more readers eager for moments of beauty, reflection, and connection.
I believe your collection will resonate with:
Poetry lovers drawn to lyrical, heartfelt free verse
Readers seeking short, thought-provoking works for daily reflection
✨ Book clubs that enjoy exploring layered emotions and cultural perspectives
Those new to poetry who want an inviting and accessible entry point
If you’re open to it, I’d love to share a brief visibility snapshot and some tailored ideas to help From The Book of Dreams connect with more readers ready to reflect, imagine, and feel through poetry.
With admiration for your evocative and heartfelt work,
Amanda Jaxon
