Biography

Darren Joy lives on the southwest coast of Ireland, where he writes dark epic fantasy shaped by myth, magic, and mayhem. When he’s not building worlds, he’s usually lost in fantastical ones, especially their shadowy corners. He is the author of the Plagueborn series.
His work blends damaged characters with scarred landscapes, mythical creatures, and the darker edges of human nature. When he’s not writing, he’s reading fantasy, experimenting with digital art, or sketching the maps that guide his worlds. He believes the best stories are the ones that linger in the imagination long after the last page is turned.
