Cecilia credits her faith for the strength and courage to survive seven years of domestic violence, the loss of two husbands to premature deaths, and breast cancer. Her happy ending began with a dream wedding in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. She and her husband said their vows on a terrace above a watering hole teaming with elephants, kudu, zebras, and buffalo. Later, an A Capella group serenaded them with the song, The Lion Sleeps Tonight. In deference to that idea, lions roared outside the compound’s perimeter during the entire performance.
These experiences, and a few encounters with the supernatural, inspire her writing. It seems the veil between the earthly and the supernatural is thin — at least within her fictional stories.
Not quite a social phobic, she loves her quiet life in south central Idaho, writing, painting, or enjoying the outdoors.
Her blog, Cecilia Marie Pulliam at ceciliamariepulliam.blogspot.com, features Christian themed stories, photos of her African wedding, her month-long tour of Africa, and her artwork.
