Description
Zoe was starting over. With everything. New town. New business. New love?
Love was not in her plan. She had just quit her job, bought out her apartment lease and moved to Sandy Cove to get away from the fiancé that canceled their wedding. A man she had been in love with for over three years.
She was not ready to think about love or relationships. She was committed to creating a new life, and what better way to start than to open her dream business of a bakery in a quaint small oceanside town 300 miles away.
She was a talented baker and she could do anything on her own. Right?
Zoe quickly realizes getting her bakery open is a larger task than she imagined. She had no idea she was going to face numerous obstacles including a dysfunctional stove that quickly becomes her nemesis.
But when Jack, the local town painter and handyman shows up, he realizes there’s a gas leak and swoops in to save the day. Zoe becomes intrigued, and they quickly form a friendship.
After Zoe’s successful grand opening Jack invites Zoe over for a celebratory dinner, and decides to kiss her. Zoe isn’t sure she’s ready, and tells Jack of her ex-fiancé. Jack decides to give Zoe some space to figure out her feelings.
With multiple catastrophes at the bakery Zoe calls upon Jack for more help, and the more time they spend together the more Zoe’s feelings for Jack become clear to her.
With their friendship heading out of the friend zone, Zoe and Jack seem to be headed in the right direction, but when Zoe’s ex-fiancé shows up uninvited, Zoe begins to question her feelings. Can Zoe stay true to her commitment of starting over, or will the past come back and take hold of old feelings and rekindle a flame that once was?
