Description
Being stranded during a snowstorm might not be the worst thing.
The holidays are quickly approaching, and busy, cat-loving accountant Martina McCoy needs a break from her hectic schedule and her well-meaning, close-knit extended family. David Walker is an Army veteran who needs time away from his successful small business pairing fellow vets with canine companions, just a few days to work out why the nightmares—and the urge for a drink—have returned to haunt him.
The Snowy Mountain Ridge Resort in upstate New York seems like the answer for both of them: three days of seclusion in a beautiful setting nestled among the pines. Time to think, plan, relax, recharge, and most importantly, to be alone.
But when a snowstorm strands Martina and David in the resort’s main lodge, along with four other guests and an oversized, girl-crazy German shepherd, they are forced into a situation they hadn’t anticipated: sharing space and resources with strangers, navigating their growing attraction to each other, and facing the possibility that they might not make it home in time for Christmas.
