Description

Taken from his family as a child by the silver-eyed Guides, Tarl is raised as an operative of the Center, a world ruled by the enigmatic Select. He is sent across realities as a spy, hunting for evidence of artificial intelligences. After a confrontation with a madwoman who claims to have met him a thousand years ago, he is sent by the Select to a world on the cusp of atomic weapons and early cybernetics. Arriving in 1950s, he maneuvers his way into military intelligence, and is snared by a mysterious woman called Gold. Against the will of the Select, they join forces to confront the forces that control her past. Forces that seek to shape the future of all reality.
