For Hudson Horvath life is less about living and more about existing.

Each day is just one more bar, one more drink, and a constant battle to think of a reason to go on living. Hudson’s life changes, however, when, Anna, a young bartender, whisks Hudson away on a road trip through the Mississippi Delta and down to the Big Easy.

Except a road trip with Anna is more of an adventure than Hudson could have realized. Anna’s enthusiasm and erratic driving result in more than one brush with trouble. And when Anna adds hard living, hard fighting Alea to their travelling party, Hudson has his hands full. Little does he know that Anna and Alea are exactly what he needs to make the trip through Mississippi—and face his tragic past.
