Joining Manifest could cure Gavin’s fears.
If it doesn’t get him killed first.
Gavin Brady doesn’t mind the domes protecting humanity from Earth’s ruined environment. He fears the Mods—a small fraction of humanity who mutate at puberty, gaining unsettling strength, advanced senses, and accelerated healing.
Most people accept them as a part of life, but Gavin can’t. The horrors of his past and the scars on his body are a constant reminder of the danger they pose. To him they are nothing but monsters, waiting for the first moment of weakness to strike.
But Gavin is desperate for a change. He wants more than his dead-end bar job and nights of broken sleep plagued by nightmares. He’ll do anything to get a better life and a handle on his fear. Offered a lucrative position as a mercenary at Manifest, this just might be his chance.
But can he accept the Mod partner that comes with the job?
